Hands down, the most comprehensive exam and cleaning I have ever had! I sought out a holistic dental practice after reading about the Weston Price foundation and the links between nutrition and dentistry. I have an OLD mercury filling that needs to be removed and they follow a safe protocol for removing. So happy I found them and my insurance covers 80%- perfect for me!
Amazing office! Their progressive approach to dentistry is an example for all other offices. The staff is friendly, approachable, honest and very knowledgeable. They provide options and invite you to be a part of the process. The best dental office I’ve ever been!
I have been a patient at Wrigleyville Dental for many years. I've always gotten polite service and very good treatment. Not to mention, I'm always getting complimented on how well I maintain my teeth. That's good motivation for me to keep on taking care of those choppers! LOL No seriously, I like going there for my dental care, because they are thorough, but very nice as well. I recommend WD to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

I received an excellent exam and cleaning. Some time on the schedule was available that day and a small cavity was filled after the exam. The dentist and staff demonstrated a great deal of concern for patient comfort.

I became a Wrigleyville Dental patient because the original dentist, John Benedetto, was able to work with my fear of the dentist's chair that had prevented me from routine dental checks. Dr. Taplitsky and her team have carried on the caring tradition of Dr. B. Going to the dentist is now a simple routine. No matter what kind of procedure I need done (I have crummy teeth) I trust that I will be treated with patience, kindness and a positive attitude. I highly recommend this practice!
I love Wrigleyville Dental's holistic approach! I have gotten most of my mercury amalgam (silver) fillings out and replaced with composites there, and look forward to having the rest of the mercury fillings removed. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the office is clean, and the murals in the patient rooms are relaxing. One of their methods that I enjoyed is their use of essential oils during my mercury amalgam removal; it was very calming. Wrigleyville is an amazing practice for all of your dental needs.
I cannot say enough good things about Wrigleyville Dental. I sought them out for a root canal extraction and wanted a holistic dentist that would offer me everything I was looking for- prf and ozone therapy with a homeopathic mindset. I have extreme dental anxiety and have never had a tooth pulled. They were the kindest and most caring people I have encountered. They took their time, they comforted me, gave me breaks when I got worked up to calm dowm, and the sweet assistant even ran to her car to get me her plug in for my phone so I could use headphones. I had other holistic dentist turn me away for this procedure and Dr. T didn’t blink an eye. I drove 2.5 hours from Wisconsin and will continue to drive down for dental care. It’s worth the trip. I have an autoimmune disease and take my dental care seriously as it effects my entire system. Don’t look any further than Wrigleyville Dental. Dr. T and staff are amazing!

I liked how the dental hygienist gently scraped the plaque from my teeth. She cleaned my teeth slowly and carefully.

I went for a procedure Ive been putting of for almost 3 years. I have finally found a Dentist I totally trust and have confidence in. Very attentive, state of the art dentistry.
I was terribly disappointed by this practice. I have never written a yelp review, but I would consider how they treated me to be malpractice. Here is why. I went to this office with a specific problem; I had an ongoing infection below the gum line that was causing bone loss beneath my lower two front teeth. I went through a deep cleaning/de scaling and also several Ozone treatments. I have no problem with the high cost of treatment there as I thought it was leading to a solution. I did not and I ultimately left the practice in the same shape I walked in.I did not find their (Dr. Teplitsky and staff) bedside manner to be very comforting either. I left most appointments crying. Here's the thing, I am a smoker and I know that's very, very bad. They shamed me constantly, at and throughout every appointment.Here is the reason I find their treatment of me to be malpractice. I was never referred to a periodontist, which I needed. I finally went to a dentist who gave me the referral I needed. That periodontist just today, 4/18/18, performed a bone graft on me that I also needed. I am not sure that I needed it in 2015 when I first visited Wrigleyville Dental; that I will never know. Here is what I do know:1) The shaming I endured from Wrigleyville dental caused me to fear dentists like I never had before.2) The infection from which I was suffering caused the bone loss that lead me to need a much more invasive procedure.3) That infection was cleared up by ONE round of LOW DOSE antibiotics. 1 week, 250mg. This is where the malpractice occurs. I was never offered antibiotics to treat the infection. I, not being a doctor did not know to ask if this was a valid course of treatment. I understand that there is a problem with overuse of antibiotics. If Dr. Teplitsky had ever asked I would have let her know that I hadn't taken antibiotics since I was a teenager and now at 30 was completely willing to try to treat this problem aggressively ( though I do not believe one round of low-dose antibiotics is aggressive.) I feel ripped off, now. I feel shamed. I feel mistreated in every way by this practice. If you have zero bad habits and generally perfect teeth by all means visit this practice; I'm sure they would welcome you and treat you well. I believe it is how you treat the more needy people that defines your character and capabilities.
Very pleasant experience overall, everyone was friendly and professional and they explained everything in great detail, so I knew exactly what to expect in terms of treatments, procedures, insurance coverage and so on. I am glad to have found this holistic practice on my side of the city, with easy access to public transit. The only downside is that they are out of network for my dental insurance plan...
I had an excellent experience here. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. I came in for dental work and had my 2 kids with me, the receiptionist kindly helped with the baby! The dentist answered all of my questions and provided me with information I needed.

I love Wrigleyville Dental from the staff, assistants and doctors. They are kind, patient and always have a positive vibe in how they go about their day. I have recommended them to a few of my friends and so glad I found them!
I really felt comfortable with Dr. Teplitsky and she took the time to explain all the different dental options for me. I felt she cares about her patients and that is why she is a holistic biological dentist and my main reason for seeing her along with my insurance coverage which you can't beat that. The office environment is holistic as well which is a big plus. As I only had a consultation I can not be 100% sure of anything until I have my procedure(s) done but at this point I would definitely recommend her highly in addition to Cathy her office assistant who was exceptionally helpful in explaining my insurance results with me and taking the time to sit with me and answer my questions!! I doubt I will ever return to a conventional dentist office again!! We in Chicagoland are so blessed to have her!

They were extremely thorough when cleaning my teeth and were super helpful and informative when talking about ways to improve my oral health. If you're looking for a dentist that takes your overall health and well-being into account, I highly recommend you give this practice a try!

It's always a pleasant experience, she's thorough, and I don't feel like I'm pressured in to any unnecessary treatments. I'd give an 8 to recommend the practice because I'm out of network, and there doesn't seem to be much insurance that is in network, so that is the only bummer. I'm not detracted from visiting, but that could definitely be a concern for others.
Make sure to call your insurance company before the appointment. I wasn't given accurate information and it cost me about $900.
Dr Silva is the best dentist I have ever had. I'm a client for life! I can't recommend this practice enough!

Best holistic dentist in Chicago! I went there to get mercury fillings removed because they follow a specific procedure for removing these specific type of toxic fillings. I was very pleased. When it came time to remove my root canal tooth done by another dentist I chose Dr. T. Again, their holistic approach to dentistry is amazing, like nowhere else in Chicago. I will be calling this place my dental home!

Dr. T. knows her stuff about health and dental health. I love that she uses Ozone. I could smell it a bit (which is nice)! Great to talk to about all things health related and never feel rushed.
Dr. Silva was kind as well as her assistant. Most importantly, my procedure was painless and efficient! It was pretty expensive, about $850 for just under an hour of work!
What an amazing office. Everyone treated us like human beans versus a number. My son who is six attended as well and they talked directly to him versus just threw me and made him feel very at ease with his procedure. They walked him through the entire process. Afterwards he mentioned that he really enjoyed the work that they did and he was so happy that they were able to make him not feel any pain. Amazing family dental office!

I have always loved coming to Wrigleyville dental. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional and put my kids and me at ease. They are willing to take time with you and make sure you understand your treatment or better hygiene and health practices. I respect their perspective that your teeth are part of a whole system (your body) and it is important to keep the whole system well to keep your teeth healthy. They are extremely thoughtful about when to fill a tooth. They are not just a drill and fill operation.
Eizen was extremely knowledgable and informative. He answered all my questions and walked me through every step of the appointment. He also kept a light and upbeat attitude, so if you ever feel nervous and the dentist he will make your experience more enjoyable.
Great job, Dr. Silva! I like especially ozone treatments before a seal or filling is applied. It appears to produce a much more reliable results.

Positives: Very thorough exam. One-on-one discussion was good to talk about what could be causing dental problems. Staff was very kind. Facility is nice. Negatives: Was unaware how long the appointment would take. Also, the cleaning was painful. Prices seem quite a bit higher than other locations.

I had 4 amalgams removed and one was giving me problems but Dr. Teplitsky has always been so pleasant and understanding while making sure this particular tooth is not going to continue to give me problems....never making me feel like I’m an inconvenience or a problematic patient.
Save yourself the time looking anywhere else- this place is amazing . First of all, before work appointments is the best thing on the planet. FREE parking is even better . Finally, Dr. Teplitsky and her staff could not be more kind and genuinely nice . I started going here for a semi emergency wisdom teeth issue , and Dr. Teplitsky fixed it quickly and efficiently . Next I came back for a clean and Invisalign, and from coordinating with the patient coordinators (Maria and Jennifer) , to the hygienists helping me (I forget their names, a guy with a few arm tattoos and dark brown hair.. Fernando possibly ?, and woman with dark brown hair who has Invisalign herself). Her staff is extremely personable and you can tell they really like their job, which is refreshing to see. Overall , save yourself some trial and error like I did finding a dentist downtown and go here! I've moved away from lakeview to LP and now Old Town, and will still drive to see Dr. Teplitsky and her staff !

I went into Wrigley Dental for a consult on an infected tooth and ozone treatment. The office is bright with tea and filtered water available and the front office was considerate and efficient. While I waited for my appointment, I noticed their library which had an eclectic assortment of books on health, alternative treatments and spiritual masters which clients are encouraged to read and may check out if they wish. I was taken to my chair by the hygienist and we chatted a bit while she put in my info and said I would need a better X-ray than the ones I provided. It was no cost so I agreed. And Dr. T came in and said she has had no success with ozone treatment for infected teeth. Since mine has been under attack since May, she doubted whether or not the roots were alive still. But we could try it, if I wanted. Dr. T then explained how the roots often have a ball of infection that just doesn't seem to dissolve. "Until we have stem cell implants, which are already being developed, we really don't have any alternatives to give you." I appreciated the candor and thanked her. She answered all my questions and even gave me a follow up call to offer a root canal option which I am reluctant to pursue for health reasons. My last stop is my Qi-Qong acupuncturist. Overall, I think this is a special practice driven by customer service and I will return here for other dental needs.

I'm concerned because I have more pain now than before I saw the doctor yesterday. Before I went I had pain if I ate something with cane sugar (not fruit) in it, now I have pain all the time even when I am not eating. A bit frustrated, worried and not sure what to think....

I feel that Wrigleyville Dental did not have my best interest at heart. It seems like their main concerned is getting as much money out of their clients as possible instead of retaining them. They charged me $20 just to get a copy of my X-rays emailed to me. It honestly took less than 5 minutes to get the email, so I'm not sure what exactly the purpose of the charging for that is other than just getting more money. They offer Yelp coupons on this page, but it really doesn't seem like they want you to use them. I was given a hard time when I tried to use them for my visit. They did accept them, but definitely didn't make me feel comfortable for trying to use them. Compared to other well reviewed dentists in the area their prices always seem to be the highest. The dental work has been okay for me, but a friend of mine had a bad experience with a crown they put on. I actually enjoyed my experience with the dentist and the hygienist, but due to the business practices, prices, and rest of the staff I really would not recommend this place.

Dr. Julie took the time to look at the dental literature I brought in to my first appointment with me that captured important dental choices for me from anesthetic used to procedures and dental materials. I TRULY appreciate Dr. Julie's attention, thoroughness and bedside manner.
Wrigleyville Dental is a great place to keep your dental health at its best while avoiding all the nasty chemicals most dentist offices use. I’ve worked with Dr. Silva the most and she has taken great care of me. I highly recommend their office!

Great service, I was able to get an appointment quickly and not a long wait time at all. Dr. Silva and her staff are very nice and professional. Only drawback is that I currently do not have dental insurance so I could not afford treatment here without some type of payment plan for the costly work I need done.
The waiting on the dentist chair was a bit longer that expected. In fact long enough for the anesthetic to ware off before the procedure was completed.

I have been going to Wriglelyville Dental since 1995. Although the personnel may change, the service and professionalism remains top notch.
Best experience I have had at the Dentist. I was there for almost 4 hours because they had to fix some dental work I had done previously (side note, do NOT go to Homerun Dental). Best part is they do their crowns in house so I don't need to go back. Dr. Julia is extremely nice and talks you through every step of what she is doing. Everyone from the staff to the hygienists are very nice. She really knows what she is doing and is very thorough. My one complaint is that the hygienist I had for my second visit seemed new and was a little rough. My first visit, they were great. I have some cuts today in the side of my mouth where she was yanking and jabbing the suction thingy down there. I mentioned it was uncomfortable at the beginning but I am assuming it continued while I was numb for the next 4 hours, because I am definitely feeling it today.
As always, very proactive and professional. It's more like a social hour than "going to the dentist."

Love this place! The dentists are knowledgeable and the hygienists are gentle and kind. After my 3rd cleaning here I can happily report that I have not had a single bad experience -- and that's not always the case when it comes to the dentist's office! In addition, these guys file my insurance claim for me, so all I have to do is pay for the appointment and then receive a reimbursement check in the mail a few weeks later. Highly recommend these guys!

Gentle, kind, patient, clean, thoughtful and great assistants too! So glad I found her and had her do the work I needed! I would have preferred a more private room with a door but it worked out. Staff was very helpful and kind which made the experience even better. I could not have dealt with any other doctors for the work that had to be done. She was perfect!

I went to see Dr Bernice Teplitsky at Wrigleyville Dental after learning the importance of finding a holistic approach to dentistry. I brought in my 3 year old and 2 year old for their first checkups. I was beyond impressed with how welcoming and fun Dr Bernice and her staff made the kids feel. They were scared apon entering but as soon as the Dr starting talking with them and making it fun by taking pictures of their teeth and getting them involved in the entire process, they were on board,excited and opening their mouths wide for the examination. Even though my 3 year old had a potential cavity I like the fact Dr took her time assessed it and didn't immediately push for fillings like we have experienced in the past at conventional dentists office. They offer other treatment plans that are more holistically aligned with the body that suited our needs better. For this I am greatful. We will definitely be going back for our next checkup and even switch mama and daddy over to this office as well. Fantastic experience overall and our kids absolutely LUVED the treasure box at the end where they received a little gift they got to pick out for being such good little patients:)

Great service, caring personnel. They were constantly ensuring me that everything will be ok. They asked me if I was comfortable and if I was in any pain and monitored my discomfort level.They explained the procedure and how I was to feel after the procedure.

I cannot say enough about the experience that I had at this office. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by the most friendly gals :) The care my son received from Kortni and Dr T was exceptional. They both have the most professional and best bedside manner. The treatment plan was set by the Dr and she worked on my son that same day she was able to do his two fillings quickly and expertly. I could not be happier with the job that she did. She took the time to answer my questions and is so kind and sweet. I will not hesitate to continue having all my dental care done at Wrigleyville dental, even tho it is an hour from my home it is well worth the trip!

I was given and emergency appointment as a new patient - for which I was grateful. I was greeted with a smile by the front desk; the knowledgeable assistants and doctor were nothing short of fantastic. Dr. Teplitsky's approach is no nonsense and she explains things very well. The technology in the office is deigned to get the patient the best options for their health as well as convenience. I especially appreciate the more natural options and the holistic nature of the office.

RIP OFF! Expect a hefty bill for basic treatment. I've had the same treatment at other great dentist offices and paid a fraction of what I paid here. I paid almost $400 out of my own pocket just for cleaning which was always covered through my insurance everywhere else. Read the other reviews below, this is not the first time that patients are misled.

I cannot speak about the dentists themselves but I can speak for the staff I encountered... VERY rude. The first woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely aggressive in her manner. I got off the phone as quick as I could and decided to call back another day. So I did. I got a different woman and breathed a sigh of relief... only to realize she was b-tchier than the first woman... really nasty in regards to insurance. They have an AWFUL manner about them. Maybe this is one of those offices where the staff is nasty but the doctors are nice. I won't know because you won't find me going there with such nasty women in charge.
Pros: The dentists are experts, both in traditional dentistry and holistic options. They do NOT push either option on you, but present information and discuss best options/practices. All of the hygienists are equally skilled and knowledgeable, and work the technology like they've been doing it for decades, despite being youngish. The office is very soothing, privacy abounds despite the traditional cubicle like settings, and the location is convenient with free parking in the Whole Foods next door (UPSTAIRS, though.) The front desk people are really, really friendly and accommodating, too. It's a lovely and comfortable setting and if holistic options are important to you, this is a great place that listens and doesn't try to sell products.Cons: They do take insurance, and will bill it directly for some plans, but it only really covers preventive stuff or covers a low percentage. For treatment needs, you're going to pay. A LOT. I have been to other boutique dentists with the same insurance, and it somehow covers a lot more of the total, even for places that are out of network that I have to pay up front and submit for reimbursement. Their overall costs may just be higher, or for whatever reason, even my excellent well-accepted dental plan ends up covering very little.Some of the hygienists are NOT great with kids. Although they see all ages, this is a much better office for teens/adults than little scared kids. The dentists are good with kids, but they just really don't have the same kid friendly, warm vibe as a lot of dentists we've seen, and my kids are kind of scared there. I recommend taking older kids who aren't scared or don't have a lot of work to be done, or dropping off your unafraid young teens for a nice experience of independence. They are really wonderful with the older kid crowd.They do have a great "treasure box" for afterward though, a lot cooler than the average sticker/toothbrush scenario.

1. Before my first (and last) appointment, I contacted Wrigleyville Dental to ask if they accept my dental insurance- the receptionist told me, yes. After my appointment, I received a $200 bill. When I contacted Wrigleyville Dental to ask why I was getting the bill, the receptionist told me they do not take my insurance. I reminded her of our previous conversation. She then told me that because I didn't ask the right question and say, "Does your office PARTICIPATE with my insurance," I am out of luck. She stated they "take" it, but they don't "participate." (And she seemed to be almost chuckling because, I can only assume, she was proud of herself for tricking me.) I have never in my life had a Doctor's office be unclear about "taking" my insurance. Apparently this office needs to trick people to get business. Needless to say, I was stuck paying the $200 bill.2. After my appointment, Dr. Teplitsy told me I had three cavities, which I thought was odd because the hygienist didn't mention anything that indicated a cavity. I have had second opinions from two other dentists since then, and only one cavity filled. Hmmm. This happened about a year and a half ago. I should have written the review at the time... I just received a flyer from them in the mail, so I got infuriated all over again and figured I should write a review.Unfortunately, my search continues for a holistic dentist.

I don't write a lot of reviews but I am so pleased with the treatment I received at Wrigleyville Dental that I had to share! I haven't had the best of luck with dentists in the past but my visits to Dr. Silva and her staff have completely made up for that!I made an appointment request online and was responded to as well as in for a consultation within the same week. Upon arriving to the office I was very warmly acknowledged and greeted by the front desk staff. The waiting room is very relaxing and wait time is minimal. Everybody I saw that day even in passing said hi and those who worked with me introduced themselves and throughly explained every procedure before starting as well as making sure I understood. These aspects are huge for me as a customer. The consultation is very thorough. After X-rays, pictures, and and an exam, a plan was recommended for me, I was able to speak with Dr.SIlva to finalize and get started on the treatment. I appreciate the fact that they involved me in the process and took the time to explain things to me in a way that I could understand. After the consultation I had 5 appointments to achieve my dental goals. All of the appointments went pretty much the same: great!! Courtney was there every visit but one and she is awesome!!! She is always cheerful and would always be attentive to my needs. She always put the essential oil on my napkin and it would help me relax. Ivan cleaned my teeth on two separate visits and he was so very helpful in pointing out areas and ways that I could improve on the health of my teeth and gums. He had great recommendations and would explain them in a way that didn't make you feel bad. He also made sure to explain what was going on at each appointment and he was patient with me when I had question. The others that I worked with were also great. Every staff member always made sure I was comfortable, had something to watch on tv, and would keep me updated on the progress of the procedure. Even if they weren't working with me that day, If they saw me they would peek in just to ask how my teeth were feeling and I thought that was so sweet. The front desk also gives out courtesy calls after every procedure and I appreciated that so much. Its the little things that count and they all do a lot of sweet little things and you can tell that everybody in there is not just there to do a job; they actually care. Dr. Silva has been AMAZING through this whole process. She is very warm and easy to talk to. I appreciated the fact that she would actually talk to me and not just come in and get straight to work like previous experiences I've had. She is great at making you feel comfortable before, during, and after you get work done. She listened to my wants and gave me options and suggestions as well as explaining pros and cons of the decisions not only for now but also in the future which is important. The fact that she did that made me feel like she cared about the health of my teeth which was a factor lacking in my previous dentist. I was not pressured into doing any procedure but guided down the path that she felt would help me best achieve my goals. I love also that I was able to see the before and afters with the pictures that they took.The only thing I could recommend would be is to let new patients know about the validated parking. I didn't find out until a couple visits in but no big deal because this does not take away from the great service they provide! I am so glad I chose them! I highly recommend Dr. Silva and her exceptional staff for your dental needs. Thank you all for helping me with my smile!!!
The only thing this dental practice is holistic about is making money. Even the employees are cold and there is just a bad vibe there that all the waterfalls in the world can't cover up. No warmth and discussions regarding what the patient wants and they will charge you double the price that you will pay at other dental practices with years of experience. Just now you are going to pay a lot more for services here and while they spend a lot of time explaining your bill, they don't bother to tell you that they will charge you $50 if you cancel an appointment without 48-hours notice. They only are holistic enough to tell you that afterwards. Closed Fridays and Saturdays which they also don't bother to tell you upfront. There is a reason they have to promote reviews.Note: if you call to cancel and get an voicemail/answering service that has no interest in communicating your issue that should be a red flag.They also charge double the rates for the same services with other dentists who have more experience. That's fine to own your fees, but not when your business does not have real people to field calls to take schedule changes as busy executives will have happen.
I usually hate going to the dentist. This place is different. Dr. Silver rocks! And so does her staff. I went in for 2 fillings today...it was actually a very calm relaxing experience. From the essential oils they put on my napkin to breathe and the lights getting turned off so I could relax more. Seriously getting a filling filled has never been so calm for me. Im usually sweating in the palms and just totally dreading it all. Not this time! Thanks Dr Silveer...you changed my whole view of a dentist visit!
I have always been uncomfortable/anxious going to the dentist. Granted my first time here and my first time going to get a cavity filled I was nervous. However, they do a wonderful job to calm you down. Also, for the first time in my 28 years getting a cavity filled did not hurt.
I just had my new patient exam and I am so pleased with my visit. It had been over 7 years since my last dental visit so I was feeling very nervous and dreading my visit. All of the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The staff, especially Kourtni, made me feel comfortable and at ease the entire time. I had a chipped tooth and needed a filling, both were done in the same day. The staff were great about quoting me the pricing before hand. I purchased a bottle of their essential oil tonic (mouth wash) that I love. I can't say enough good things, I am making this my permanently dental clinic!!

Dr T re did a filling that was chipped and degraded replacing this filling she was able to restore the size of this tooth so food no longer is being trapped by what was the missing portion of this tooth. As always she does excellent work and got any decay out from under this filling.she takes extra steps that many dentists dont employ that just provides a better level of care.
My husband and I began seeing Dr T about 2 years when we moved to Roscoe Village We appreciate her holistic approach to dental health and prevention. All of her staff are approachable and professional. We have been extremely pleased with the care we receive.

Dr. Teplistsky was all that someone would want: calm, thorough, communicative, informed. She and her assistant, Courtney, saw me at the very last minute -- AND as a new patient -- due to extreme tooth pain. I was feeling like it was all an emergency and anxious because of my situation ... everyone there was welcoming in their own ways and I had no doubt right away that I had gotten lucky to choose this practice! It was found that I had a tooth fracture and needed further treatment. In short: I was highly impressed with the calm, friendliness, and care of the office! Highly recommend!

I would recommend you, since you guys are state of the art, buy a cable package for your office. The minimum will do, but it's 2016 and having patients limited to local channels is 1980. I know this is secondary to the services you offer but there is asymmetry with offering such outdated cable services with such advanced dentistry. I guess I will recommend free wi-fi next time I come in but one thing at a time. My $.02.

Great experience. I have had a fear of going to the dentist because I have my wisdom teeth and chewed tobacco. The experience was great! Very nice staff and Dr. T was very knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to accomadate me on short notice for a deep cleaning before my wedding which is coming up and are extremely friendly! The Netflix is a very nice touch as well.

I never write reviews, but I want to review Wrigleyville Dental because Dr. Teplitsky helped me SO much. After realizing and researching the dangers of root canals, I looked for a holistic dentist and found Dr. Teplitsky. After having a root canal done 8 years ago, my health started going downhill and doctors have not had any answers and have said I am healthy despite chest pains, jaw, neck, and back pain, low energy, and brain fog. After an ozone treatment last week and today, all the pain went away, and I suddenly have tons of energy and focus and feel HAPPY!! I also want to just say how awesome Dr. Teplitsky is. She is patient and caring and answers my billions of questions, and she took extra time with me. Megan and Kathy at the front and all the assistants are wonderful too! Everyone seems to like working there. They helped to entertain my toddler while I had the ozone treatment. It's a very positive environment and you can feel it as a patient! Thank you all you lovely people at Wrigleyville Dental!
The hygienists do a great job, and I appreciate how quick and thorough they are when cleaning my teeth. Dr. Teplitsky answered all of my questions. The front desk receptionist makes me feel like I am inconveniencing her with insurance questions. Her answers are good and well thought out, but I feel like I am bothering her if there are any issues.

This is by far the best dentist experience I've ever had! I have TERRIBLE anxiety and PTSD from multiple jaw dislocations that happened in my early 20's during dental procedures. My first appointment with Wrigleyville Dental was nearly a year ago where they listened to my entire past history and got to know me as a client. I've had an issue with a crown on my molar for years but xrays continued to show that nothing was wrong with the tooth as far as root damage or decay. My dentist suggested that i have a material compatability testing screening done to see if the crown materials used was causing irritation and it turns out that it was and that I had many dental materials that were not compatibility to use on me. They highlighted what was safe to use and only use those materials in my procedures. How amazing! Yesterday I had a cavity filled and they were so patient with my anxiety and had drug free alternatives to use such as: stress ball, tea, essential oils and let me listen to music with headphones on. They also took lots of breaks when I needed during my procedure and I always felt heard/listened to and taken care of. This was my first ever good experience at a dentist and I will be a faithful customer because of it!

I would have given them a perfect 5 if the detail on my receipt would have been broken out what the insurance should have covered and what my portion of the bill was would have been helpful. The staff is fantastic, Dr. Bernice Teplitsky is incredibly competent, wonderful demeanor, and the treatment I've received there is state of the art. I've had checkups/cleanings as well as silver fillings removed/replaced. I recommend Wrigleyville Dental highly.

JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I am a bit of a self proclaimed hippie-crunchy and I haven't been to the dentist in over 10 years because I did not have a holistic dentist in my area. The staff was incredibly welcoming. They explained everything they were doing and offered a fluoride-free cleaning. They take the fear out of all those tools in your mouth. The lovely girl taking my x-rays also gave me lip balm because I mentioned how chapped my lips were. Definitely a forever client now!

Everything was great, I always dread switching dentist but my previous dentist wouldn't accept my insurance and thankfully I was referred to Wrigleyville Dental. Everyone explained the work that I needed and what was most crucial. Turns out I need more work than I expected but ultimately I think once the work is complete my teeth and gums will be more healthy and I will be on track to keep them healthy with regular visits. I appreciate the level of explanation and pictures the Dr and Tech used to explain everything to me throughly.
I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years as I am always reluctant to start with a new Dentist. My previous dentist didn't accept my insurance so I finally decided that I find a new one. I was referred to Wrigleyville Dental and couldn't be happier. Turns out I need a lot of work but they were very detailed explaining everything and showing me pictures of what needs to be done and which issues to address first. Again as someone who isn't a fan of the dentist they kept checking in to make sure I was as comfortable as possible the entire visit. After a 4 hour dentist visit one would think you may not have had a positive experience but I left confident with a plan to get my gums and teeth back to 100% health!
I live out of the country but Wrigleyville is my regular dentist when I'm in Chicago. A temporary overlay fell out from my dentist in the Middle East, and Wrigleyville squeezed me in last minute two days in a row RIGHT before the holidays in order to get the new temporary right. Kortni was particularly amazing. Feel so lucky this is my regular place!

I was very impressed with how knowledgable, informed, and patient all of the staff were. They listened to all of my concerns and were happy to provide resources for all of the information given.
At a time when most dentists are focused on cosmetic procedures that produce big profits, it is very nice to find a dentist that cares about the actual condition of the foundation of our smiles; our roots and gums. All of the money in the world will not keep your pearly whites in your mouth if what they are anchored to are not healthy. I have thousands of dollars of restorative work that was done by a similarly dedicated dentist over 30 years ago; he is retired now. This work is at the end of its useful life, and to top that off, the health of my roots and gums was deteriorating unnoticed by my previous dentist. I firmly believe that if I hadn't found Dr. T when I did, I would have lost many teeth in the next few years, leaving me with no foundation to maintain my smile. Dr. T and her team of hygienists and assistants have completely stopped and reversed my oral health decline. Accomplished with a thorough root cleaning/scaling and one Ozone (O3) treatment, In just one treatment !!! I am in total shock and disbelief over this. I didn't think this was even remotely possible, although I have known how powerful Ozone was for a few years. I still have to do my own work in my daily care, as it is truly a team effort with a great dentist, assistant, hygienist, and periodic inexpensive O3 treatments. This is not a fake review, I am willing to speak with anyone in crisis, or is just looking for a lifetime partnership with a top notch dental team that will strive for your optimal oral health, and appearance; one step at a time.
If one can say...GREAT experience for a dentist! We have been looking for a holistic dentist. I just brought my two children in to see Dr. Silva. One had never been to a dentist. Both children have had apprehensions about going in to see the dentist but we could not have been more pleased. Dr. Silva was very thorough and sat with us and explained our treatment options as well as alternatives. We did not feel pushed at all or 'bullied' into doing procedures and this is HUGE! I could not recommend Wrigleyville Dental and Dr. Silva more! I am sure Dr. Teplinsky is great too! I have no doubt we will see her as well :-) Even one of my kids wanted to show his flossing skills :-). If holistic care is your priority for you family, come here! From front desk reception and all the way in and out of the chair. You could not feel more cared for and safe.
I love the new office, and they have validated parking at Whole Foods right across the street which is a bonus in the city! The office staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Teplitski is my primary doctor and I like her chair-side manner. I appreciate the office's holistic approach to dentistry. Four stars is for the available hours. I know trips to the dentist aren't necessarily frequent, but when I've needed to have unplanned appointments, the available hours have been hard to work with. I start work before they do, and end work after they do on all days except for Wednesday, so it's been tough to get in. Though when its an emergency, I'll give the office credit for doing their best to fit me in!! Someone said that they were trying to push products on them. I have not had this experience. I've needed a bite guard for years and they have never pressured me to buy it. I approached Dr. T. on my last appointment and asked her to make me one, but she never pressured - just explained to me and showed me evidence of what I was doing to my teeth my clenching. No pressure in my case, just facts.
The new dental hygienist Carly is great! She is friendly, kind, gentle, and is wonderful with kids. I also enjoyed meeting the new dentist as well - I was happy to hear about her holistic recommendations and advice. Thank you!

by far the most comprehensive care. the steps taken to obtain optimal results when prepping for a crown were outstanding. ive never had as excellent dental care anywhere and weve lived in 8 different states.

The DDS was very professional and caring-- the latter because she exercised the longer option to extract stubborn teeth by pulling and wiggling rather than the shorter option to simply cut into bone and so damage the jaw and risk fracturing it. It was a significantly longer procedure-- no doubt consuming time that she could have been spent more profitably with other patients-- but performed, she explained, so as to give my mouth the maximum care that was professionally possible. How many busy dentists, these days, would care that much?
I don't write a ton of reviews, but do want to go out of my way for a business I really appreciate. I'm still finding myself shocked at loving a dental office, but this one is the best! The people I've worked with there have been really friendly, and down to earth. Dr. Silva has gone out of her way to talk to me and answer questions in a thorough, caring way. The techs have also been great. I've never seen a staff take the amount of time and effort this one has to make sure you are being treated in the best possible way for your health, and the work they do has always left me feeling relieved and happy with the results!As an aside, they use Bach flower essences to calm nerves before an appointment, and vitamin C to help the numbing subside when you are done. There is even a TV with Netflix, etc, so if you are in a position where you can watch a show, it helps to distract from the procedure as well. Score!

Very friendly staff providing excellent care. They make you feel welcome. Compared to other dental places I have been to, I don't get the feeling, that they are trying to prolong the procedure you went there for with other procedures beforehand, in order to charge you as much as possible. The staff at Wrigleyville dental was friendly and informative. My exam visit took about two hours, but during that whole time, the staff was taking x-rays, cleaning, and talking with me about caring for my teeth. They all were very committed to answering my questions and letting me know about preventive things I could do to ensure good dental health for a long time. On top of the great work from the staff, I they gave me a sonicare toothbrush for free because I am a new patient at the practice. I highly recommend visiting Wrigleyville Dental.

I love Dr. T! She's very knowledgeable and straight forward but also very calm and sweet. I was there about a month ago for a cleaning and received my Sonicare toothbrush which I love! The dental hygienist I had was super cool and funny and was great about explaining everything before it happened. I returned recently to some dental work done and Dr. T was awesome! I watched a movie while she filled my cavity and she kept checking in to make sure I was ok. She even told me that if anything felt unusual after the numbing wore off that I could call and pop in and have her fix me right up. I didn't need to do that because everything felt fine, but just the fact that she offered that to me was so impressive. I am so happy to have found a holistic dentist that I feel comfortable with. She just moved into her new office space and it's even more convenient for me now which is a huge plus! I have already recommended her to a few of my friends!
This dentist office, staff and Dentist are FANTASTIC! I had gone to another dentist for 9 years. I am very into health and wellness, and had been meaning to make a change to a more holistic dentist. I called around to a few offices to learn about their "holistic dentistry" practices which ranged from just playing ambient music to dentists that had taken a few classes. I then came across Wrigleyville Dental and Dr. Tepitsky who practices a much more comprehensive approach to holistic dentistry beyond some music and a couple of classes. Dr. Tempitsky took tons of time with me to learn about all my health concerns and really takes an interest in understanding your wellness as a whole and the connections to your mouth which is she views as the gateway to the rest of your body. She does not push any unnecessary procedures and actual recommends the minimum that needs to be done. She also gave some natural tips to improve oral health, which I will start right away. I think any of the bad reviews on here must have been prior to Dr. Tempitsky's practice at this office because this woman rocks! Also the billing was great, even though they are out of network, they handled all the billing to my insurance - no questions asked and no payment due day of visit. (although I just went for a cleaning) I do not regret the move to this dental office at all and highly recommend Wrigleyville Dental to anyone on the prowl for a new dentist!

This was my first visit to Wrigleyville Dental and I have to say I was blown away. Not only were they SO friendly from first call to the moment I walked out, but they seemed to take such a genuine interest in my health overall. The way they showed me and explained what was happening with my teeth & gums is something I have just not experienced before. I am so pleased they are convenient to me because I've definitely found my dentist!
Staff is awesome and very kind. Best part was watching netflix while getting my gums cleaned. Also they try to work with you with your payment plan even if you were denied care credit . Going to recommend this place to people .

I don't know if a visit to the dentist is ever fully positive. The care given was really great, even better than the last time I had my amalgum fillings replaced here. The price was also higher than the last time. I like this dentist's attention to health, and the full environment of the office. The only drawback was the billing. It was more than the previous visit, and when I asked, it was explained that I got a discount (not sure why) on the previous visit,and that I had Oxygen and Ozone. All of this is great, but be aware that it may not be covered by your insurance, and you will be charged for every single bit of service you get.
Wrigleyville Dental and especially Dr. Teplitsky, always makes me as comfortable as can be and care a great deal about my well-being.

I'm a holistic junkie so when I was referred by naturopath Dr. Kelly Simms I was thrilled to know Dr. Bernice was local. I had a full exam 3 weeks ago and my 1st cleaning yesterday. The staff is gentle and accommodating. Dr. Bernice took time talking with me and really got to know who I was and my overall health concerns. I felt very comfortable. When I went in for my cleaning the Hygienist, Eizen, made a reference about my holistic practices, I was impressed. Kathy the Financial Coordinator is a gem, you'll see what I'm talking about when you go. Thank you Kaarin for hooking me up with my sonic toothbrush! I love it. This office is on the pricey side, but I have no dental coverage and I'm glad I found them. I have a lot of work to be done include 4 removal of dangerous mercury fillings that I feel have been threatening my health. I'm so happy I'm finally getting this done and trust this office to properly protect my health and well being. I will re-rate once I get a few procedures taken care of. I anticipate that this will be a 5. And for Ryan S post about rude....I don't even know how that's even possible. And for wanting to be paid, hello it's a business....if you offered a high quality service you would want to get paid this is not a credit business.

This place is just beyond wonderful! This is coming from someone who is not a fan of going to the dentist. Every single person on the staff was very kind and pleasant to speak to. It was my first visit to this dentist and they were all really thorough about the details (including walking me through the payment) and always kept me informed on what was happening and what they were doing. Everyone was just SO nice! And I love that I ended up with a dentist who also appreciates natural alternatives and gave me options without pushing anything. She was really great, so much that I will be more proactive about going to the dentist regularly. I would recommend this dentist to anyone in heartbeat.
This is the best Dentist office in Chicago!!!*They are extremely thorough in their explanation of what is going on in your mouth and why you need whatever work you need done on your mouth. They even showed me the microscopic bacteria swimming around that needed to go away or else I was likely to become periodontal!*They are all incredibly friendly and put you at ease! I get high anxiety about the dentist and work on my month, and they were very understanding of this and thoughtful. I have been to other detest offices in Chicago that have been rude and uncaring. *The cleanings are pleasant...yes, I said pleasant! They do not take long, they are careful not to hurt you too much, they take their time, yet are efficient, they tell you what they are doing as they do it, and he CARES about you keeping your teeth and gums healthy!!!*They walk you through any and all charges and what the insurance will and will not pay for. They will work with you and help you truly understand. They will call your insurance, rather than telling you to "contact your insurance" which is what I used to hear at other dentist offices.*They are just good, kind, lovely people!! They remember you, they ask you how you are doing and genuinely care to hear the response! They get you in early if you arrive early! They smile at you, they are sweet and professional, but with a polite and hometown, known you my whole life presence! I think they are the bees knees!!

Ok, so I went to the previous dentist who owned this practice for over 15 years. Spent a ton of money on my whole family. Was happy to do it - Dr. Benedetto & his staff took good care of us. The new dentist - not so much. She's nice. She kept much of the old staff, who are really awesome. However, I've always had a little crookety tooth. I'm pretty much ok with it. Not a surprise she wanted to sell me on invisalign. But, you wouldn't believe the hard sell. One of her people came in & explained all about it. Then she followed up, hard. Really should have been a softer approach. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Then, I had to reschedule an appt. She wanted to charge me. That was the deal breaker. All you have to do is look at how much money my family has spent with you & realize you don't want to lose me as a patient. I changed to a dentist on Clark street, who is wonderful. Made a very good decision to change.

What a different experience from a normal dentist! The cleaning was painless, and fun. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I never once felt weird or felt like any of my questions were dismissed or unimportant. I can't imagine going anywhere else! My only complaint is that I could use a little more of a review of all the things that were offered to me. I was so pleasantly overwhelmed, I forgot to ask about certain things I was thinking about purchasing and things like that.I can't believe I'm looking forward to my next appointment!

My visit went well . The listened to everything I said and addressed the issues I was most concerned about. The environment was relaxing and the Dr. And staff were very welcoming and friendly. My only complaint is it's pretty expensive. Too expensive for me so unfortunately I will not be able to go back.

I was a little startled when the Hygenist had told the frront desk scheduler to book me another appointment in 3 months. He had not told me this and I had thought that every 6 months was standard. When she checked again with him I was then booked for a 4 month follow up. Is every 3 months the New Standard.
As usual, the cleaning staff very kindly put up with the atrocious state of my teeth/gums and the admin staff very kindly put up with my complete ignorance about insurance billing. Everyone at Wrigleyville Dental is always so nice, and I really feel that they have my best interests at heart as a patient. I ran into a friend while walking home and recommended you as I am so frequently doing; so hopefully he will come in soon!

Not only was she knowledgeable but she made me feel real comfortable.. they were able to squeeze me in the day after my consult!!! i wanted to get my mercury fillings removed and waited to years to find the right care provider for me...i traveled 20 miles just to receive my care here..needless to say im very happy about my decision!

Overall the team here is great, but after having been a patient for a while I still have trouble understanding how the billing works, and whether I truly am paying the same amount regardless of whether Wrigleyville Dental is an in-network provider for my insurance or not. It would be ideal if your team could provide more information and reiterate this at every visit/every invoice.
Hours are a little restrictive but Dr. Teplitsky is fantastic and has a great staff. Very patient and good at their jobs.

We recently moved to Chicago and went to this dentist on the recommendation of our new general Dr. I've never been afraid of the dentist as my mom was a hygienist, but it's also not something I look forward to. Wrigleyville Dental was extremely gentle though. They did a thorough job cleaning my teeth, but it didn't hurt like other dentists I've visited. I loved that they explained everything they were doing including showing me the slide of plaque through the microscope and showing me exactly where the two cavities I have are on the photos they took. They also have non toxic toothpastes, offer tea while you wait, and make it an all around pleasant experience. There was no wait and while my appt took longer than I had anticipated (two hours), it was because they took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and didn't rush anything which I was happy about it. Finding a good dentist is really hard and I'm glad I found someone great on my first try on Chicago. I will definitely be back.

I didn't consciously choose her, my old dentist retired and Dr. T was his personal choice to take over where he left off. I couldn't be happier. Put it this way, I loved the work of the last Dentist, I just was never compelled to review the old guy. To Dr. Bs credit, I found myself comparing the new work with my older work (which I consider nothing short of perfect) and was pleased to see it matched. But if you are like me, and like the feeling of genuine concern from the people caring for your health like I do, you'll be happy here.
I was delighted with the treatment with my cleaning. I was especially happy to hear my teeth are in very good condition. I had problems, and through patience and diligence of the Wrigleyville Dental team, (and my own work), definite and substantial improvements took place. I credit Wrigleyville Dental significantly.
I had a small cavity and instead of drilling away and giving me a dangerous amalgam filling, she gave me a nutritional consultation, told me to use a different toothpaste, and the cavity went away naturally by the next time I came in for a cleaning. Dr. T is the best dentist ever! I would never trust anyone else with my teeth. I love how she explains all of my treatment options and let's me decide what's best for me. I'd highly recommend her for mercury amalgam removal or other holistic / biological dentistry treatments

I sought out Dr. Bernice Teplitsky when I read an article she wrote for the now defunct Mindful Metropolis magazines. She wrote about curing cavities. I didn't even think that was possible. I made an appointment with her before she opened her private practice. The service can be described as compassionate and empathetic. I receive follow up calls from the doctor about treatment, which I have never received from any other dentist. I feel cared for and pampered as another reviewer said. All the hygienists are thorough and they actively educate you about improving your dental care. They tell you what they are doing, how and why it is being done. This puts me at ease and makes me feel in control of my dental care. I asked Dr. Teplitsky about her article and how we could use an integrative approach to my dental treatment. She suggested a diet low in processed foods and sugars, and high in fatty acids, fish oils, and minerals. She discussed how cavities can develop within weeks, but can also shrink in weeks. No one had ever told me that. Why let your cavities get out of control if it only takes a change in diet. I also learned that eating foods high in acidity, including fruit, damages enamel, which is being talked about more lately in the media. All of this information seems like it should be common knowledge, but it's not. So make sure to schedule your next dental appointment at Wrigleyville Dental. Though they charge in full up front, they do accept insurance. Cleanings are only $90, which is on the low end for the City of Chicago.

Sadly had 2 cavities on the same tooth, so needed a crown. It is the last tooth on the upper part of my mouth (posterior maxillary) so very very hard to get to. Dr. Teplitsky and her team did a spectacular job making me feel comfortable--or as comfortable as possible with a drill in one's mouth--and well-cared for. They are particularly attentive to taking breaks, discomfort, not getting plaster on my clothes, using impression materials that don't gag you, and all sorts of other small things that add up to an honestly fantastic experience. I am delighted to have found Dr. Teplitsky. She is a gem.

I decided to give this office a try based on a recommendation...I was surprised that it had such few yelp reviews (1) and it was a negative one... I don't think anyone loves going to the dentist, but I feel like the staff at Wrigleyville made the experience as comfortable as possible. Whether its the lavender aromatherapy in the rooms or extremely courteous staff - it was a great experience. Time flew by and I was entertained the whole time. Only negative would be that (even though I didnt feel it at the time) my appointment time for a 6 months check-up was actually pretty long. Over an hour an a half. But, my teeth (and me) never felt this pampered!Thank you, Dr. T and team!

The DDS did great job. Fully numbed the area, with only one stick. She had to re construct most of the to because of the position of the cavity.

I was first introduced to this office two years ago when I purchased whitening products through a Groupon. I'm not certain what took me so long to get back, other than it being an hour away from my home. These ladies are courteous, efficient, helpful, friendly and honest. Besides that they are very knowledgeable about the art of dentistry. I am never disappointed going to this office.
You will love this dentist!! Great positive atmosphere, relaxing office environment, great receptionists and office staff! I actually look forward to going to the dentist now! Dr. Teplitsky has removed mercury fillings safely. Since then my thyroid abnormality has gone away and my contact lense prescription has improved. She knows what she's doing, communicates and cares about your comfort level. I highly recommend her!!

I am new to the Lakeview neighborhood, and was looking for a new dentist. They even got me in around the holidays when I didn't have an appointment, and somebody else cancelled. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the cleaning I got, and the staff was extremely kind and knowledgable. I've already recommended them to my roommates, and have definitely found my new dentist.
All aspects of my experience from reception, scheduling appointments to cleaning and examination has always been outstanding. The technicians and dentists are all courteous, professional, thorough and very informative. I've been a regular customer of WrigleyvilleDental since I moved to Chicago over 20 year's ago and have never considered another Dentist. Very convienant location, friendly and professional staff and always up on the latest treatments. They explaine everything ahead of time, including cost, so there are no surprises. Speaking of cost, they are not the cheapest Dentist although their work is always high quality and professional, most insurance plans accepted with ease, work is warrantied as well.

Dr. Sahand Zomorrodian and technician Brittany were extremely competent, compassionate, & diligent in performing a root canal.(I had a crown taken care with them, and I was quite satisfied by the procedure). My discomfort was minimal during this necessarily long procedure. I was very pleased, and felt I could not be in better hands.
If you want to be treated like a star then this is the dental office for you! Had my first appointment today and was blown away at home nice everyone was as well as informative. I used to fear going to the dentist and have not gone in years... well today my fear was diminished upon walking in the office. A little overzealous brushing caused a receding gum problem. The good folks at Wrigleyville Dental fixed me up and set me on the right path, brushing-wise. I was taken in on time, my cleaning was gentle but thorough and the Dr was relaxed, informative and nice. From my first call to my checkout the staff seemed happy and glad to help. Your staff was one of the most professional I have ever experienced--and I have been around for a while and have experienced quite a bit of dental treatment. Not only were they professional, but they made it very nearly a pleasant experience. That's saying quiet a bit for a dentist office visit.

I was really hesitant to go to Wrigleyville Dental Group (WDG) because of the poor ratings. I live by yelp reviews!!! However, it is so close to our house that I couldn't resist trying them. I was sooo pleased with my visit! The tech was really sweet and informative, the hygienist was also nice and told me what she was doing (plus she positioned the TV so that I could watch it while she was polishing my teeth), and Dr. Z was kind and he didn't try to sell me on any weird $$$ procedures. In fact it was a totally normal visit and they didn't charge me for anything extra. I will definitely continue to use WDG.

I was recommended to Wrigleyville dental after I moved to Chicago a few years ago and have suffered through visits to the worst dentist ever. What a difference!! I had forgotten that visiting the dentist doesn't have to be miserable. The dentists here are extremely competent, extremely kind, and have great bed-side manner. The good-looking dental assistants don't hurt either.... ;)

Wow. I was extremely impressed by this dental office. My friend used to live on Cornelia and I passed by this place all the time. I just went in for the first time to talk about possible treatment plans for my tooth that is in bad shape. They were so patient and caring and explained everything to me thoroughly so I understood what my options were. Dr. Zomorrodian is just fantastic. He talks to you like a regular person and I truly felt like he wanted to do what's best for me personally. I was so scared of what they would come up with but I'm so confident and happy now that I took a risk somewhere new. It's clean, everyone is friendly. I felt really comfortable. So glad I found this place!!

The staff is very friendly, and so are the dentists but I think their interest lies in their wallets. You can be kind to me all you want and make me feel as though you are sincere but if you try to take advantage of my lack of dental knowlege that is just wrong. I went to Wrigleyville Dental to fix a toothache-cavity last spring and the dentist told me I needed more than just a filling. He started explaining the cavity has ruined the tooth and that they need to build it up, bond it, and than cap it which will run the bill up to around 1800. Insurance covering most of it or not, that seems a little aggressive. Went to another dentist who my father recommended and he told me he could fix the tooth for 350, cost me about 50 bucks out of pocket. Simple 45 minute procedure of a filling. Thats over 1500 difference, and saved me out of pocket about 400 bucks and saved my insurance some money. As much as I hate to save my insruance money I refuse to give my money to a "money hungry" dentist who preys on people who are too trusting.The staff and assistants are great but just stick with simple check ups andleave the expensive procedures to people who will charge you much much less for just as good care. To date my filling is fine and its been exactly a year.

The Wrigleyville Dental Group have been my choice for dental care for the last 10 years or so. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentists are consistently caring, kind & professional. You can't go wrong should you require dental care.
Now. No one likes to go to the dentist. Especially me given the fact that I have the tooth genetics from hell. So going in with "I hate the dentist" I always leave there going, "Well that wasn't so bad." Today was a perfect example. I had a crown put on a back tooth last week, and over the weekend the tooth next to it started bothering me. The plan had been that we fix the back tooth now, and then take a look at crowning the one next to it in February since both teeth were problematic.I called this morning at 7am and told them what was going on. They had me come in at 8:20 in the morning, determined that while I don't have to get the crown now, it would be better to do it sooner (there was pain there because things had shifted with the new tooth and so while nothing had changed with the one next to it, I was feeling more discomfort). I told them I hadn't budgeted to have both teeth capped now but could I pay them in February when I had planned on getting the work done anyways. That was not a problem at all and I was able to get the temporary crown put on right then. The doctor works with your schedule and insurance to get things done quickly and as cheaply as possible which is nice given that dental insurance isn't that good in general. They are all very nice and friendly and make the trip that everyone dreads as painless as possible. So yes. 5 stars.
This is truly the best dental office I've ever been to. (And I have always hated going to the dentist!) The staff is really amazing, so friendly and kind, very knowledgable. Everyone is great there - from front desk, to the assistants, to the doctors. I like their holistic approach, and they always make me feel comfortable. And they've done wonders on my teeth. Highly, highly recommend.
I do not agree with other reviewers. My son went to this office and had two white fillings done by Dr. T and one of his fillings came off the next day. Plus A lot of food gets in between the other white filling that did not fall off. Staff was nice and friendly but expensive even with insurance
Outstanding and thorough service and care. I don't think I have had such a thorough exam before. I didn't feel rushed and felt like my care was most important. For the first time I have a choice with a dentist that is knowledgeable about traditional dentistry and holistic approaches. I am so used to being told what I am supposed to do. Here I have options and can decide what to do based on an integrative approach to health care. Jessica, my dental assistant, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, Eizen, my dental hygienist, the same and he created a very therapeutic rapport. Dr. Julia Sadove was wonderful and I appreciated her sharing her knowledge so I can make an informed decision. It was wonderful feeling like they all cared and to have a team of 3 work with me was amazing! Highly recommend this practice.

I loved this place at first, however it has proven to be so much more expensive than I thought, also I had 3 bad experiences, where they took x-rays but didn't see a cavity, and I kept telling them about it, they said everything was ok, finally they told me there was a problem. I went thru a lot of pain because of it. also they forget to call back when, they said they would for an appointment
This dentist is not in the Delta dental network, which means Delta will reimburse about a quarter of the amount that they would for an in network dentist. Because of this, Wrigleyville dental requires Delta patients to pay the full balance up front at the end of their appointment and then Delta will reimburse the patient directly for a portion of the bill. This was explained to me every time I was in for an appointment. I had a relatively expensive procedure done and paid in full before I left. Shortly thereafter I received a bill in the mail for $300. I called and asked why I was being charged $300 on top of paying in full and they explained that they just accidentally didn't charge me the full amount when I was there. I asked how that was possible and they responded that they don't know but I owe $300 more. One star for dishonest business practices. Now I need to find a new dentist to complete my dental implant procedure.

I have seen the practice go through many avatars, but it has always been like being with friends. Dr. Treplisky and her proactive, holistic approach has been quite effective.
My experience at WD was great, at first. Cleaning, Tons of bite wing xrays. ($459) THEN to another Dr for specialized CT, ($239) I believe.(Also, at wd i agreed to costly specialized blood test to check merc levels. ($525) Result: no problem I read after 35 years merc fillings aren't an issue. But never told by WD. Mine are way older.) Had to change procedures from silver removal to extract a cracked tooth. Had bone graft and blood platelet done at a cost.(for healing) ($1462) Then, a crown for another cracked tooth ($1900) -what?--that I said no to. Dr t suggested to me to bond the tooth ($803), after filling removal and I agreed. Next appt, Dr. Sadove was ready to begin the crown!?? Huh? I refused and began to freak. Was told by sadove I have three cavities, yet a woman i spoke to on the phone told me i have six. No one will speak to me after all the trips and MONEY I spent. ($3488). Ouch1 Silver removed and tooth bonded, 1 extraction w/bone graft/prf, 1 cleaning, many xrays, 1 merc level blood test) I was self pay. Credit cards. Treatment plans were very confusing. They never just answered my questions. I had to stop amalgam remove plan to save cracked teeth. Never agreed to crown. Have no idea where that came from. Unbelievably confusing set up. Lots of $$$$ I wonder if I can have those films of bite wings and records for my files. I feel i paid for them. And I feel stupid I ever agreed to the plans. I should have said no. I freaked over the cracked teeth. I still need a bridge: $1900, and fillings: God only know$.
