Dr. Davis extracted a tooth for my sister. Realized months later there was a small bone fragment near the gum line visible. In calling the office was told it needs to be removed as it could cause an infection or worse down the road. Insurance already paid for an extraction and wouldn't cover for a second one, which is what they would bill for, no exce[tions to the rule. Realized they have a little gimick going on donig haphazzard jobs like this and sure they have done stunts like this before. What kind of dentist would do such a thing, and idiot money making one. Went to another dentist who took care of the issue for $17.80.
Dr. Davis is an unfit dentist and should not be in practice. Before Dr. Davis my mother saw Dr. Termotto until he retired and Dr. Davis became her dentist. She has excellent hygiene with good strong gums that are not receding. Dr. Davis did some crowns, pulled a tooth and recommended another be pulled. To start with, the crowns which were 1-2 years old ended up with problems. They were an improper fit with gaps between the gum line and the original tooth beneath the crown. Due to these gaps cavities occurred. Instead of perfect fitted crowns Dr. Davis accepted what the lab made feeling what happens happens. Found from x rays before and after the tooth he pulled could have been saved and the one he recommended did not need to be pulled but minor work. Before she left his practice he worked on a tooth he crowned and made a disaster of it. Tooth was saved by the other dentist with some work due to his incompetence. Dr. Davis and Wine are always pushing implants but beware, they are not guaranteed to work and not guaranteed you won't have problems. It is however, money in their pockets. Dr. Davis is defensive when his work is questioned, horrible bedside manner and complains a lot about the insurance companies. I know of several patients who agree with me on his work and attitude and many more, word of mouth, who feel the same, even his staff.
