I use this practice because I feel like I have built trust with the dentists, however on my last visit I was disappointed as this didn't happen. From the new offices, which are sterile and unwelcoming to the treatment, which was rough, it all smacked of a business that wants to sell, sell, sell with little regard for my concerns. It felt like a car dealership where you take your vehicle in for service and all they want to do is up sell you maintenance without taking care of the problem you came in for. Not impressed
They changed offices and doctors with no notice. Got bossed around about treatments as if I work for them. Time for a new dentist.

In the 2 years my wife and I have been going to Ridgetop Dental, we have been exceptionally satisfied. Extremely Professional and phenomenal team.
Cleaning went well but I was surprised to find that a policy change has happened requiring me to sign saying that I understand there is a co-pay for dental work and the demand for payment up front. After over a decade of paying my dental bills at the office, I'm not happy with the lack of trust. Asking for prepayment before you do any service is a big deal but demanding it from loyal customers is too much.

I have severe anxiety associated with dental procedures and had avoided visits. Dr. Shaw took the first 15 min to just talk to me about my fears and what they'll be doing to alleviate them. They explained everything they were doing throughout my visit.They are pricey; don't expect this to be an inexpensive endeavor, however I'd only put them between 5-10% more than other places, and for the service they provide, it's worth it.
They are very professional,very nice, helpful,office is always clean they are on time always, they don’t make u wait .

I look forward to my Dental appointments. After I receive a first class cleaning, I get an examination from my favorite Dentist Dr. Diana, This last visit, the exam revealed a really old silver filling which had partially fallen out. We had agreed that I would make an appointment to have the old filling removed and replaced. By the time I got to the front counter Dr. Diana had offered to squeeze me in right then and there. The entire Staff at Ridgetop Dental is professional, helpful and friendly. You can't ask for much more than that.

My hygienist, Kayt, was very personable. She educated me on the use of different size proxal brushes in various areas of my mouth. I never felt the needle she used to numb me before my scaling. This was my first visit to Ridgetop Dental. They were very professional, my appointment was on time. I met first with Dr. Diana Sensenbrenner who explained their procedures and reviewed my medical and dental history. She then introduced me to the Dental Hygienist who did the exam and cleaned and polished my teeth. It was a very pleasant experience and would recommend Ridgetop Dental to others.
Have been seeing Dr. Datta for many years now. His staff are polite, scheduling is convenient, and I like getting the text reminders of appointments. Cleanings thorough, and when I have needed fillings, it's been completely painless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody!

Always have a good experience with Dr Shaw at Ridgetop Dental (except for the novacain shots!). She is very helpful with advice and explains everything she is going to do before doing it. My wife is now a patient and getting her teeth maintained here too.
I almost gave up on finding a dentist I could trust after bad to worse experiences since 2015. Dr. Datta was my 19th consultation and thankfully my last. I drive an hour and a half, as well as, go out of network with my insurance to see him but it is so worth it! He and his staff are all very nice.

Dr. Shaw was really helpful and it was easy to get in to see her. The assistant who was supposed to clean my teeth ended up being out for the day last minute, Dr. Shaw took the initiative to do my cleaning herself.

From the moment I walked into their Reston office, to see if they were accepting new patients, I was immediately impressed! Their receptiontist and staff gave me a warm welcome. Answered my questions and scheduled me my 1st appointment. Due to my work schedule I had very little time in which to have my dental work done. They were able to shift things to accomodate me. Both Dr. Shaw & Dr. Malyavantham were professional and very courteous. I had my procedure (implant) done at their Sterling office, to which I was also very impressed with the respect and professionalism of their staff. Dr. D gave me a follow up call the same day of my procedure to ensure I was doing well. I am so thankful to have found Ridgetop Dental!
Wonderful dentists!
I arrived at Ridgetop Dental in Reston without an appointment. Part of my molar broke off and the receptionist said that I could be seen shortly. Dr Shaw examined me, explained my options and was able to give me relief immediately. I am retired and do not have dental insurance. Dr Shaw showed me how to save money without sacrificing care. Dr Datta was also part of the exam process and agreed with Dr Shaw's assessment.This was my second visit to Ridgetop but it won't be my last. The professionalism of the staff is exceptional. I felt that they had my best interests at all times.
Its been a while since I've seen the dentist, mostly because of time constraints and my previous dentist not being flexible. I was very happy with my appointment at Ridgetop Dental, I was greeted by friendly staff, meet with the dentist and then back for my routine cleaning. All staff were very friendly and welcoming, my routine cleaning was very quick, easy and painless and I was on my way.I was given helpful advice rather then 'shame' treatment that I've received from other places and I was offered additional services, but there was no hard sell tactic, just service there if I wanted them. From décor to first impressions, Ridgetop was a great first experience. My husband has been to this dental facility for almost a year now for invisalign & loves the staff here. I was impressed when the front desk staff told me that I initially start with an interview with the doctor prior to having my visit with the hygienist. The "getting to know you" process is a great way to get to know your patients. Angie and I had a quick connection. She was very informative with tips on home healthcare and also took the time to have small talk with me.

Dr. Datta was so wonderful with my son that he was able to look into his mouth to check his cavity. normally he would not even let his regular pediatric dentist brush his teeth.

I will not be going back Ridgetop Dental located in Sterling. The cleaning I received was extremely painful. It was stated and noticed that I have clean teeth. Therefore, the pain was not the outcome of poor dental upkeep. The young woman was nice and personable, but the technique she used to clean my teeth was extremely painful. With that being said, I will try to schedule an appointment with the dental hygienist I previous went too - she works for Ridgetop Dental.

The experience was fantastic though the news was far from good. I saw Ridgetop out of network and as it turns out, need roughly $11.5k worth of work. I'm getting a second opinion to be thorough but considering the quality of Ridgetop's work in the past I will most likely move forward with them.

Seems expensive- will shop around for more in-depth services to compare prices. Unless there is a huge price difference would come back....one of the most comfortable dentist experience I've had which is worth paying a little more. Bedside manner was perfect and I felt like they really cared about my comfort. Seemed knowledgeable about all facets of dentistry. I have received treatment in as many as a half-dozen dentist offices in my lifetime. Ridgetop Dental in Reston is by far the best thus far. This office appears to use all of the most advanced technology and techniques which I have seen. However, the people skills and professionalism of this office staff (led by the dentists) ultimately defines the very successful dental treatment which I have experienced. My background is that of a career federal employee who has had significant dental work completed at Ridgetop Dental in Reston over the past several months.
The doctor and staff always provide excellent quality work and service. The doctor is very aware of any anxiety or discomfort I may have and adjusts accordingly. He is also a perfectionist and an artist so he isn't there to get a job done - he really is there to make sure you walk away with a beautiful smile!
I had a dental emergency and Ridgetop Dental, as always, treated me quickly, with great care and expertise. They are not only concerned about my dental health, but my mental health as well!! They are awesome.

My overall opinion of my visit is a positive one, as Dr. Diana continues to impress me with her diagnostic capabilities as well as her manner. However, the cleaning I received was quite uncomfortable. The hygienist seemed to drag the instruments in my mouth, hitting every tooth surface along the way. In addition, her method of wiping the instruments equated to thumping them on my chest.

I have gone to Ridgetop dental for the past few years, and when I first started, the dental hygienist was very focused on the experience of the customer, often asking for feedback throughout the cleaning, flossing as well as thoroughly explaining each procedure. They also offered options as far as flavors of cleaning materials, toothbrush and toothpaste. During my last visit no options were presented and I did not feel as the attention to detail was present. All of the people I interacted with in the office were nice and pleasant. During this experience, I found out the dental chair has a stopping point, which goes far beyond the 180 degree position. The chair made a beeping sound when I was at this position. I understand that the hygienist needs to work in your mouth, and needs you to be low, but I have never been at such an angle where I felt as if I was sliding out of the chair. To be honest, after this experience I am not sure if I want to consider changing dental offices.

All work done by Dr. Datta & Dr Diana has been excellent. Susie is an excellent Hygenist; knowledgeable, concerned about the general health of your mouth and kind. However, the hygenist Marouska, who last cleaned my teeth, was very heavy handed and had no regard for my discomfort. In fact, she jammed an aperatist into my mouth to take x-rays; 4 times. After I said that hurt the first time, she did not stop. She wounded my mouth so I had painful sores 6 days later. I hope no one else suffers through a cleaning like this.

The appointment was fine but since the estimated amount out of my pocket went up by $1,000 after the doctor saw my x-rays, I must have much worse problems than originally anticipated. I simply don't have the money so maybe next year I can start fixing one tooth at a time.

My husband and I really like this dental office & the staff, however I will say its a little on the pricey side for a normal dental exam/cleaning, my old office only charge 100$ for cleaning so I was very shocked when the price was about 200$! Other than that I love it there!

I haven't gone to the dentist in 10 years because of horrible experiences in the past. When I arrived at Ridgetop dental, immediately I was greeted professionally by Maria and the other receptionist. I was then interviewed by one of the Dentists who did a thorough history on me and talked to me about my goals for treatment. I expressed by anxiety regarding dentistry and everyone I encountered was aware of my fear and treated me respectfully. At the end of my appointment a different dentist came in to review my exam and she was very friendly and professional. I work in healthcare and have encountered very few doctors who treat their patients with the same level of respect that I received at Ridgetop Dental.

When I first found Ridgetop Dental, it had been 12 years since my last dentist appointment. I was terrified of the dentist! They did my first appointment in two visits, just to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed. They were very receptive to the fact that I didn't like the scraping tool and provided me with a much better alternative. I have kept all of my appointments since and have almost no anxiety going in. The front office staff is always sweet, and everyone that works on my teeth are so kind and understanding! I love this place.

Dr. Shaw is the best! She is thorough and professional, but also extremely kind and very easy to talk to. She will make you feel perfectly comfortable in her chair. I saw her for two fillings, both of which were quick and painless. I am a dentist myself, and therefore picky about my own dental care -- I now live about 4 hours from Ridgetop Dental, but I will continue to make that drive because Dr. Shaw's work is worth it.
I have been treated at the Reston location versus the Sterling office. Although I'm relatively new to this practice, my experience has been invariably positive from the front desk to the actual treatment room. Office personnel acted professionally and appear to have everything well under control - administratively speaking. The service is friendly and genuine which makes for a more relaxed atmosphere overall. The dentist in my case was a young woman (I'm and older dude) and she was professional, patient-focused in terms of concern over the patient's wellbeing, and just a really pleasant person. Before I ever made it into the chair, the dentist and I had a meeting, during which she explained what she'd discovered about my teeth during a previous visit. She really took her time to explain and was completely open to discussing options etc. The work she did to my teeth was outstanding and I'm already looking forward to my next appointment to continue to work on some remaining problem areas.Overall, Ridgetop Dental treated me well and in a personable way, which put me at ease considerably. There's no hesitation as I recommend Ridgetop Dental for all your dental needs.

First class service. Dr. Shaw was friendly and took the time to explain everything she was doing. I am not a fan of going to the dentists but she made the process as pleasant as it could be. I was informed by another dentist that I needed to have all my old filings replaced. Dr. Shaw contradicted that and explained that there are some that should be replaced but there are others that aren't needed yet. She explained that the unnecessary work could actually damage the teeth. It's refreshing to know that there are dentists that care more about the patient than making a dollar.
I have had intense anxiety & fear of the dentist for as long as I can remember. It had actually been 4 years since my last visit, and I only caved because I was in pain. Dr. Datta was so understanding, and he completely put my mind at ease. The dental hygienist was so gentle and really took the time to explain everything she was going to do before she did it. It was hands down the best dental appointment I have ever had. Going back on Monday for some fillings, and it's the first time I'm not terrified ahead of the appointment. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone and everyone.

After 18 years with my dentist, I needed to find a new dentist closer to my home and my dental plan included Ridgetop Dental. Upon arrival, I found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Dr. Datta met with me to address any concerns before handing me off to my hygenist Angie, who did a really nice job. She was gentle, fast and thourough. Dr. Shaw met with me after my cleaning and she couldn't have been nicer. I had to return a couple days later to replace a very old filling and though getting my tooth numb was a challenge, Dr. Shaw and Sammy handled is with aplomb and got me taken care of as fast as they could! I feel fortunate that I found my new dentist on the first try!

This was my second time going to Ridgetop Dental,this time was just a routine cleaning and I've been so busy at work I didn't have time to get anxious about seeing the dentist. The usual hygienist was out of the office, and they had someone from the Reston location filling in (no pun intended), and she was just as wonderful as Suzie.I can't leave out the rest of the staff, billing is wonderful, and they make sure you understand what is available to you (I found out this visit that I am allowed a cleaning every 3 months, so I've already booked my next appointment). The front staff is also great and they set me right at ease first thing in the morning.I can't recommend this place enough, especially if you have high anxiety about seeing the dentist.
The hygienist did a great job and I could really feel how it felt really clean. She also kept me well informed all throughout of what was happening.

I'm from a tiny island in the south pacific where we rarely see a dentist. There will be a dentist available for 2 months out of the year, but if you really had the money, you'd fly to Guam to get your dental needs. So being as I haven't seen a dentist since I was 11, This was my first visit as an adult. Of course, I was afraid I was going to get bad news right off the bat, and having someone put their hands in my mouth wws just weird. But here at Ridgetop Dental, they accomodate every fear I had. They made me feel welcome, and answered every question I thought of, before I could even ask. Dr. Shaw was amazing. She explained everything to the tee and made sure I was taken care of. I totally recommend going here. The interactions between the whole staff felt family-like. They're awesome.

Dental work was done timely and absolutely satisfactorily. I had switched dentists due to previous issues with sensitivity and bite issues after dental work at my last dentist. After the initial inflammation went down, my bite feels perfect and my tooth is smooth. Best of all I have had little to no sensitivity in the last 24 hours. AWESOME!

I was referred to Dr. Datta by my brother about 3 months ago. Since then we have been on the journey of putting an implant and we are almost at the end of this journey. I couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else. He is a very gentle and knowledgeable doctor who communicated clearly everything from the beginning. The office staff and his assistants are also great. I am very pleased with everything so far and I am sure it would continue in the same manner.
I think that this office is highly knowledgeable in implant techniques. I visited other dental offices, but it seemed that implants were just a sideline. If you need implants, this appears to be a good place to consider.

I was very scared and nervous but they took really good care of me. I would even go back there;) They had time so it made me feel a little bit more comfortable. I work as an au pair here and I don't have a lot of money. But they where really good with that. They make paying plans for you.
I was very happy with everything and especially with Dr. Datta. My only complaint wold be the hygienist. She was awkward and didn't seem to understand the equipment. The X-rays were painful as she pressed down on the floor of my mouth and made little cuts there. She also caused me to choke when she was using the spray. She told me she was the best there is(!). No, she isn't.

I received the most thorough teeth cleaning in my entire 60 years from Diana Sensenbrenner, DDS Associate Dental Surgeon at Ridgetop Dental. When I became concerned that I had done something wrong, she explained to me that she was removing all the stains from my teeth as well as the plaque and tarter. When she was done my teeth were the whitest they had been in years. I look forward to my next visit.

What impressed me was the level of cutting edge dental technology. To this day everytime I am in he shares new equipment and training that he been to. I appreciate a dentist who stays well ahead of his colleagues. Once I had a crown built and I got to actually watch my tooth be created on a dental CNC router. Very impressed still after 10 years. Dr. Datta performed some major dental work for me including an implant to a bottom molar tooth. I would recommend him for any major dental work and cosmetic dentistry as he is one of the best dentists around and that includes his staff. He takes his time and answers all questions and most importantly puts you at ease with no dental pain-very skilled. The follow-up is excellent including calls to see how your doing. I will continue to see Dr. Datta for the remainder of dental work I still need as I am very confident in his results.

Susie is the Dental Hygienist I've seen my last 2 visits, and she is so kind and gentle (and very funny, she had me relaxed and laughing the whole time). She made sure I was comfortable, and explained every bit of the procedure as she was working on my teeth. I highly recommend Ridgetop Dental to anyone looking for a dentist, especially if you have high anxiety, they know how to make going to the dentist a good experience.

This was my first time visiting Ridgetop. The teeth cleaning was extremely painful. Two days later my gums still hurt. I left with blood all over my face; no one thought to wipe it off or tell me about it. I received a treatment plan which was quoted too high and only after questioning why my insurance didn't cover more of the bill, was the estimate reduced. I will never go back. The technology is top notch but I can't say the same for the doctor/hygienist who took care of me.
I'll have to say for one thing I hate the drive more when I look at the date on the calendar oh well I got to see the girls again they were very nice!I did go back for my cleaning a week later The lady that cleaned my teeth was very nice and before I knew it she was finished that was ok with me!But then the dentish she checked my teeth and I was ready to they were good.

The service provided was very good. While cleaning my teeth she was so careful not to cause any sensitivity. Very detailed and nice and could very well feel the clean feeling after completing the cleaning. Doctor Diane seemed fine, didn't have much to ask her.

I find the staff at Ridgetop Dental to be friendly, professional and efficient. Susie, my dental hygienist is so friendly and helpful, she motivates me to take better care of my teeth. I have some anxiety about going to the dentist, but Susie always puts me at ease. This time I did not have any cavities, so my time with the doctor was brief, but I found Dr. Sensenbrenner to be informative on how to help solve the sensitivity problems I've been having with my teeth. I will definitely keep coming back to this office!

I've been going to this office for years. Have recommended it to many people. But my last visit was not a good visit. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth must have been new because it was extremely uncomfortable. I've never had such an uncomfortable tooth cleaning. And then I had to wait much longer than normal for the dentist. Just to check my teeth for 5 seconds. I normally see another dentist in this office and have never had any problems with him. I should have requested him specifically. I really do love this practice and the people at this office, but this visit was very frustrating.

I was suffering very bad with my tooth for 3 weeks and visited Dr. Datta for help. Dr. Datta is very good, understanding and fixed my pain. He examined my tooth and explained how "hot" it was. The procedure took around 2 hours but I was sedated as required and did NOT feel the pain. I walked out of the dentist office relieved.Dr. Diane is very nice. She explained me how bad my tooth was and convinced me that I would be normal in couple of days.The staff is very courteous. At Ridgetop Dental, I had one of the best dental cleanings I have ever had. Susie, my dental hygienist, explained everything she was doing, step by step. When I complained about the water being too cold, she gave me a different option, which was much more comfortable for my sensitive teeth. Susie was fantastic and I requested her for my next dental cleaning appointment.Unfortunately, at this appointment, a cavity was found. Apparently, this type of cavity starts out small and is difficult to find. Thankfully, Dr. Malyavantham was able to fit me in that day to quickly and painlessly fill my cavity. While I never look forward to going to the dentist, Ridgetop Dental, has a friendly and professional staff that makes the experience convenient and pleasant. I will highly recommend them to my friends!

I've been a dental patient of Dr. Datta since 2003. He is truly one of the most caring medical professionals in this area. Hands down! I moved here from NJ in 2002 and tried one other dentist in the area who will remain nameless. I vowed I'd never return there. A friend referred me to Dr. Datta and I've never looked elsewhere! The staff has changed quite a bit over the past decade or so, but always still courteous. Due to my hectic schedule, my last visit was probably more than six months ago ... Well ... there is a brand new hygienist on staff. I think her name is Susie but don't quote me.(She's not on the website as yet. I just checked.) Debbie was the one I was expecting however, upon inquiry I was told that she found a position located 5 minutes from her house. A short commute is of the utmost value in my opinion, so I totally understand. Although I was disappointed not to have Debbie; Susie (I think) is AWESOME! She's mature with great chair side manner, witty banter, and extremely knowledgeable. She obviously loves what she does and loves to inform her patients about good dental health! Love her! Okay ... enough of the accolades. I hope the team can take constructive criticism because I have to return in a few weeks and I'd hate for these next few comments to bite me. Here it goes ... Deep breath ...The receptionist at the front desk is quite nice. However, good customer service dictates that if you're waiting on one customer, you do not allow another customer to distract you, stop what you are currently doing for the first one ... i.e. ME, and answer the second customer's question, "I don't think I need to see you [I'm assuming this was to settle a bill], do I?" She stopped in the middle of our transaction to check for the woman. Ummm ... How about ... "Give me one moment and I'll be right with you."? I actually WAS paying so regardless of whether someone else needed to pay, the second customer can kindly wait her turn.Secondly ... While I'm in the chair, I'd prefer the dental assistant not rest her knee on me. I'm not a haphephobe I just don't appreciate the casualness. Dr. Datta doesn't do it and I've known him much longer than I've known anyone else in the office. Well ... except for Maria. She's great too! My point is ... I love the friendly demeanor, let's just keep it professional. Correct these and you are a 5 star practice! All the Best!

Medical care is fine. Billing/business practiced are unacceptable. I have been billed for services not performed, billed wrong amounts for services that were performed, and now they insistent on payment before they will schedule an appointment. Despite my satisfaction with the care, based on their billing practices I will change Dentists.

Being able to fill out the new patient form online was a huge plus. Nothing worse than getting to an appointment and wasting the first 10 mins filling out forms.Dr. Datta was very good. I had a root canal and it was virtually painless (more pain with the Novocain needle than anything else) and quick (took less than 1 hour for the procedure).Only downside to my visit was that Ridgetop Dental is not in network for my insurance. Overall this was a great experience.

Dr. Datta was quite patient and thorough going through what I require. He showed me and explained my x-rays, which was actually quite interesting. Let's face it, not to many people like going to the dentist! I can tell you I am one of those people. However, My experience at Ridgetop Dental has been excellent! I love that they have late hours so I don't have to take off work. My first appointment I was thinking great here comes the torture, lol. But from the start things were very relaxed. Dr. Diana made me feel very comfortable, she first met with me and asked what my concerns were. I then met Shannon she did my xrays. We took some pictures of my teeth and I again talked with Dr. Diana. She told me I had some cavities and how much it would be. Then we did my cleaning and I made a follow up for the cavities. The follow ups were nice and relaxing too, they play music while your work is done and you can chose what you want to hear. Honestly I've had 4 appointments in the last month (1 was cleaning, and 3 for cavities) every appointment was nice and relaxing. I have to say this has been the BEST dental experience I have ever had! Leaving there after my last appointment I felt like we were friends more than doctor/patient. I highly recommend Ridgetop Dental to anyone & everyone!

I got my routine dental cleaning done by Susan yesterday and She was GREAT!! She told me what she was doing step by step and she made it very comforatble.
Upon my first visit, Dr. Datta and staff provided a personalized dental experience that I have not had at any previous dentist. The cleaning from the dental hygienist was thorough and I did not experience any discomfort. Following the x-rays and cleaning Dr. Datta outlined a long term care plan which included some of my requests but focused on a few issues that my previous dentist overlooked. I am confident in the care that I will receive from Ridgetop Dental.

I had bad experience at Ridgetop. I told them what insurance company I have when I made appointment and when I was there. They didn't tell me at all that they are out of network. After done cleaning, they told me II had to pay 20% . That cost me $178 for cleaning. Can you believe that? Be careful what they doing. I don't know how many got the same problem like me.

As a new patient facing upcoming throat and neck surgery with follow-on chemo and radiation therapy, I was most impressed by the care I received from the entire team as they sought to prepare me for the anticipated side effects of the procedure. Two fillings, a replacement crown, a thorough cleaning, and custom trays for fluoride and calcium teeth strengthening were all accomplished in one visit and I was comfortable and well take care of throughout. I highly recommend the entire practice and especially Dr. Diana and their awesome hygienist, Susie.

Everything went great! On time. Very friendly and good communication with me about what was going on and what options I had. I found out I was in need of a night guard due to tooth clenching and I was able to get that process started today and I will be able to pick it up in 2 weeks. The staff was kind enough to check my insurance for me to let me know if getting a night guard was covered and how much my portion would cost. Overall, from the receptionist, the dental assistants, the office manager and the dentists, an excellent dental experience! They take the qualify time to get to know you, communicate what is currently going on, present you the options, help you with your insurance coverage and follow-through with excelent dental care. I always love going to ridge top dental. It's very clean and everyone is so nice. I love it that my doctor is very honest. Hygienist is very professional and takes her time to clean the teeth to a perfection. I wouldn't change my doctor for no other.

She offered a variety of suggestions to me on how to deal with different issues I was having. Dr. Datta is so sweet and friendly, but very knowledgable and concerned for the health of my teeth and gums. He takes his time with you and is very empathetic and understanding. I've been seeing him for several years now, and I feel like the quality of care has been consistently excellent. I trust his judgement when it comes to my dental care.

I found my visit to be a good experience, Dr. Diana could not have been more gentle and caring towards my pain level. She was very knowledgeable of my problem and informed me of the correct action to take. I was comfortable and certainly stay with Ridgetop Denal.
I have been to about 20 diffrent dentists in my life and most were very good however this guy gives his profession and new level of experenice. I had a root canal today and never felt even a little bit of pain I was amazed that anyone could put a needle in my gums and I did not even feel a prick he did a wonderful job and I am very happy with his work.

Recently I had my teeth cleaned, and was very satisfied with the results. I was shown how to floss effectivly. In the past I have had a crown done one morning. I was happy that I did not have to return to have a temporary crown removed and the permanent crown done in another visit. I find all staff to be very friendly and professional.

Avoided the dentist for a long time but neglect led to a root canal treatment.Glad I choose Dr Datta as my dentist. He himself explained the insurance benefits and what were my options including payment plan. On my visits, I had to not wait a single minute. Was led directly in for the treatment, which was painless and completed in the time allotted. I took a 8 AM appts and was able to go to office after the appt was done. The staff at the clinic is efficient and friendly and will answer all questions even on phone.

They seem to be on top of the insurance stuff too, becuase I've never had a complication or had to run around dealing with that part. They estimate the un-covered part, I pay it, and we're done.

He made me feel more relaxed and I was not afraid after he explained what he had to do in order to fix my teeth. I have had some bad experiences with needles and the dentist giving me the needle. That is the first time I had a dental appointment and I did not get the needle in the mouth. That definately made my first visit the best I have ever had.

After the dentist I had been seeing botched my top front tooth denture during the extraction phase of the implant process, I was on an immediate search for not only a reputable dentist but a cosmetic dentist. In my line of work it was imperative that my front teeth looked pristine. Through online searches I found Dr. Datta. After my initial meeting with him, he knew exactly what I needed and was able to make me a temporary tooth that looked REAL while my mouth healed before the implant. Dr. Datta's attention to detail is phenomenal and he ensured that every time i left his office my mouth looked perfect. After completing the implant process with Dr. Datta I now have a custom front tooth that perfectly matches my other teeth and looks like it was meant to be there. I would never be able to identify my front tooth as implant. Due to Dr. Datta's high quality work and attention to detail, i will never go to another dentist.

I recently had my second implant put in and it was such breeze. Dr. Datta was wonderful and patient with me during the procedure.
As a guy with a high degree of dental & medical anxiety Dr. Malyavantham, Dr. Shaw & the entire staff were incredible at easing me into the procedure. I had a root canal - the first visit I put my headphones on and was under a low setting of nitrous, the 45 minute procedure felt like 10 minutes. By the third visit I didn't need the nitrous and am now going back willingly for other minor work. If you're the type that gets sweaty palms, rapid heartbeat, and lightheaded just thinking about the dentist trust me and go talk with them - they get it and will help you take the steps to get over the mountain, you'll feel like a million bucks afterwards!
If you are reading this review you are no doubt looking for a dentist and dental hygienist duo who can make the biannual teeth cleaning visit to the dentist the least traumatic as possible. Even an alleged tough guy like me dreads the every six month cleaning. Nothing to be shy about, hands in your mouth doing major demolition is never fun even if those hands come highly recommended. Well, with Dr. Diana Sensenbrenner and her staff you've found the answer to your problem if you live anywhere within a reasonable distance from Sterling, VA. She and her team are skilled, positive in attitude and as charming as they come in terms of excellent people skills and professionalism. They really make an at best necessary experience something approaching fun if you do your part and help them help you. I've visited just once and she is now "my dentist". Can't recommend highly enough. If your present dentist is more gorilla than gentle grace personified you have a really good surprise awaiting you!

Wonderful customer service and pain- free visits
I have been going to Ridgetop Dental in Sterling for several years now. Initially, I chose them based on location, but I was so happy with the hygienists (gentle, but thorough), I stayed. The last two times Mozhgan did my cleaning. She is fabulous. I have also been happy with the dentists. Dr. Diana removed my wisdom tooth last year (it was not a straight-forward pull) and I could not be happier with the results. Her stand-in dentist (Dr. Diana is out on maternity leave) is also great - very friendly and good about clearly explaining oral-care options.
Many thanks to Dr Datta Malyavantham, hygienist Mozhgan for the excellent care and kindness I received during my visit. My dental health is in safe hands now.

I am so lucky that I found the best dentists when I moved to Virginia. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Dr. Datta and Dr. Diana are awesome; so friendly, professional, and caring. You are in good hands with them and everyone else that works at Ridgetop. I just had a dental implant and the entire procedure was so easy and painless. If you’re worried about the implant procedure, then you shouldn’t be. It took maybe 15-20 minutes once they started, and for me I wasn’t even in pain during, immediately after, or the day following the implant. That’s how excellent they are here.
Absolutelt thrilled with everyone at Ridgetop you could not ask for nicer people and I'm barely started on correcting lots of dental issue but already the improvements are awesome. Staff is thorough, professional and friendly. My husband and I have been going here for two years and do not plan on switching any time soon. They take the time to explain things to you. They even let me know that I should use an over the counter whitening product instead of their product because of my sensitive gums.

As a person who is a nervous wreck when it comes to dentist, this place makes you feel real confortable. I highly recommend Mooshka for the cleaning. Very professional and very gentle. They sit you down on your first visit and discuss any concerns before starting any type of work and get to know you. Will be getting all my work done here. Ridgetop dental is the best. I have seen all three dentists and they are all wonderful. I had a bad experience at my last dentist and hated going to the dentist but not anymore. Great service!! My husband and I have been coming here for our dental needs since they opened, and now our children go here also. They have always been very attentive. Scheduling appointments and changing them if needed has always been easy. The front desk, the business manager, all the dental hygienists, and all the dentists have been wonderful.
Wonderful staff! I just completed my 2nd gum graft...after the all the horror stories I read on line, I was terrified to have this procedure. Dr Datta put all those fears to rest. I had very little pain and now much healthier gums. The staff also went out of their way to deal with my small jaw and strong gag reflex. Excellent practice!
Mozhgan was absolutely terrific with dental hygiene techniques. At my one-month check after her prior deep cleaning, SIGNIFICANT improvement. She explains all procedures well. Dr. Datta & Dr. Diana are very knowledgeable with proactive tooth care. Very gentle--minimal discomfort with procedures. Costs & procedures explained well--Maria is particularly good with cost & procedure questions.

First of all I got to say I'm glad that I chose to get with Ridgetop dental. Since my first appointment I have felt really comfortable with their team. Earlier this morning I got a sinus surgery. I thought it was going to be really painful but Dr. Datta proved me wrong. He did a great job. And now I'm home relaxing and I don't feel a pain or discomfort!!

Just thinking about going to the dentist raises my heart rate and makes me nervous. I was recommended to Ridgetop Dental earlier this year, and it took me 10 months to make the call to schedule an appointment. When I finally went into the office after pacing around the building a couple times I was greeted by the very friendly front desk staff. A couple minutes later Dr. Diana took me into the office and sat and talked with me for a couple minutes about the practice. Then I went to the back for my initial appointment, I'm not sure if they will let you pick the Dental Hygienist who works with you, but if they do I highly recommend Susie, she is kind, gentle, and funny. After a couple laughs my appointment was over and I scheduled my next appointments for some big follow-up work. Dr. Diana took round one, and did an excellent job of putting me at ease for a 3 hour appointment. I was very surprised at how gentle the procedure was, and she took great care to explain everything to me as she was working on my teeth. A week later I went back for round two and saw Dr. Datta. He was also very gentle and I hardly felt it when he put in the Novocain, this is coming from someone who is terrified of needles. Susie wrapped up the procedure and was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend Ridgetop Dental to anyone looking for a dentist, especially if you have high anxiety, they know how to make going to the dentist a good experience.

Dr. Datta was absolutely phenomenal. I had to get a crown on a very troublesome tooth - it's short and therefore difficult to get a crown to stick to. Dr. Datta and staff, especially Kara, was very friendly. The procedure was fast and the crown has stayed on for 6 months already. He recommended I go with ceramic and the color is a great match. Thank you Dr. Datta for helping a very difficult patient. 5 stars!

A top-quality dental service all around from the way they treat their patients to how they handle insurance. I've seen many dentists throughout my life and I can say that my experience with Ridgetop has been by far the most pleasant. I've only known them less than a year a go and I've already become a regular.Being treated by almost every doctor and hygienist at the facility; I've come to know them closely; Dr. Mozhgan did both regular and deep cleaning for me and she always impresses me with her gentle and very steady hands. I've had periodontal disease treatment by Dr. Kate and I really like how attentive she is and how she explains everything as she goes. Dr. Diana and Dr. Datta always provide valuable advice and recommendations, and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shaw today as she was visiting from Reston's office and she did fillings for me at two really hard to get spots caused by impacted wisdom teeth (which I removed based on Dr. Diana's excellent recommendation.)Aside from being highly competent, the doctors here are especially kind and very pleasant people, and they pay very close attention to their patients needs. I honestly look forward to every visit (that's not usually what people say about their dental visits)

Ridgetop Dental is now my dentist and my families dentist. Dr. Diana is the best dentist I have had in my 30+ years. I had a fear of dentists since I was a little girl and after meeting with Dr. Diana I no longer fear coming to the dentist! Dr.Datta has changed my life. I know that sounds ridiculous but I have had negative experiences with dentists my whole life. He has helped me overcome anxiety with dentistry procedures and done it in the most kind, patient and respectful way. He always makes sure I understand the procedures and ensures that I'm doing alright each step of the way. In addition to having unhealthy teeth I had a terrible smile. I never smiled showing my teeth but thanks to Dr. Datta and the amazing staff at Ridgetop that has changed. I LOVE my new smile. I have had cleanings, cavities filled, root canals, veneers, and I'm about to get an implant in place of a baby tooth that has been kept in its place by a cap. I couldn't be happier with my smile and the outlook on the health of my teeth has come full circle. Dr. Datta genuinely cares about his patients and I truly wish I could give him a million star rating. Not only do I highly recommend him because of the amazing person that he is but his work is top notch and his staff members are as well. I just had my first appointment at Ridgetop Dental, and it was definitely the best dentist I’ve been to in so long!! I have braces so I was expecting that the cleaning was going to be so painful (in past experiences, going to the dentist sucked!) but they made it so painfee!! This dentist place is great!!! Doctors, hygienists and staff provide excellent service. But hygienist who cleaned my teeth didn't floss my teeth and just skipped it when I got cleaning done there.
I love this Dental Office, they are so professional. Knowing I have some anxiety about going to the dentist, Dr. Diana Sensenbrenner, sat down with me to put my mind at ease about an upcoming filling I needed. I had to go back for my filling, which was nerve wracking for me. Dr. Sensenbrenner, worked fast and efficiently, explaining every step she took. This really helped to keep me calm. I fully expected to feel some discomfort after the numbing wore off, but there was no pain at all!! And the filling is perfect, I don’t need to go back for any adjustments. The whole procedure took less than 30 minutes! I still don’t enjoy dental procedures (who does), but if I need any more work, I have complete faith in this office. I highly recommend them!

Everyone from Ridgewood dental is wonderful! The front desk ladies are so polite, helpful, and professional. All of the dental assistants make you feel comfortable and properly taken care of. Dr. Dadda is amazing! I came to him a year ago with severe tinnitus in my left ear. He immediately started taken care of me with multiple oral appliances and he taught me jaw exercises. I am now 100% free of the ringing in my ear and my jaw feels better than ever. The tinnitus was caused by months of stress and jaw clinching.My entire family now goes to Ridgetop Dental. They are miracle workers!Ed

Wonderful atmosphere and everyone was very friendly and greeted me with a smile! Dr. Diana met with me prior to my cleaning and then thoroughly reviewed my treatment plan afterwards. Kayt my hygienist was as gentle as she could be considering I have periodontal disease. Maria explained my insurance benefits at the end of my appointment so I'm prepared for the next visit.

I had to use sedation dentistry in order to get all of my work done because I'd put it off for so long (due to my anxiety).
