Dentistry involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body. General dentists provide services related to the general maintenance of oral hygiene and tooth health.
Most people dread going to the dentist. And I used to also...until I moved to Reston in 2012 and found Dr. K. and her terrific team at Reston Serenity Smiles. A calming and clean office atmosphere (serenity) combined with state-of-the-art dental equipment assures me that my teeth are in "good hands." The dental technicians and office staff (Mehrnoosh, Melissa, Irina, Priscilla and Hillary) are friendly, down-to-earth, and do a stellar job of making me feel warm, welcome and comfortable...always with a smile on their faces. Dr. K is a gem. Smart, funny, competent, caring, and compassionate, she is the epitome of what health-care providers should aspire to be. Although we don't talk much (my mouth is open and filled with dental instruments for most of the visit) they do a terrific job explaining my dental procedures (X-rays, cleaning, importance of flossing) in easy-to-understand language, always motivating me to maintain good oral care. I still can't say I enjoy going to the dentist. But I can say I enjoy going to Dr. K and her team at Reston Serenity Smiles. Check them out! Most people dread going to the dentist. Discovered Reston Serenity Smiles a couple of years ago as we finally found a dentist practice for life! Dr. K and her staff are professional, friendly and competent. Their office is extremely clean, with experienced hygienists and top notch high tech equipment for all your dental needs. Never thought I would say I actually enjoy going to the dentist at Reston Serenity Smiles! Highly recommend-Give them a try!

Another great dentist appointment for the books! The dental hygienists and dentists are very friendly, professional, welcoming, and nice to be around. The office is in a great location (right next to Reston town center, so it's literally a 2 min walk from where I live). And to top it off the reception staff are very cordial and gracious! Never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually looking forward to my next dentist appointment!
I have been in twice now, once for a cleaning/exam and once for a couple of fillings. I can honestly say that the filling experience was actually just as pleasant and low stress as the cleaning. It definitely made it more relaxing to be able to focus on Netflix, instead of the procedure. Would highly recommend to everyone, but especially anyone who may have had a less than positive experience elsewhere.
I will never go to another dentist office. Reston Serenity Smiles is by far the most professional, pleasant, and affordable dentist I've ever been to. Definitely have no problem with being their patient for life!
I find the staff to be warm and welcoming. My wife discovered senerity smiles when she had an emergency and our dentist couldn't see her in a timely manner. We called seniority smiles and they were able to see her within an hour. Now seniority smiles is our family's dentist. Thank you seniority smiles for keeping our teeth healthy.
