2ROOT CANAL GONE BAD! It took 5 hours of a root canal (between 2 sessions), two weeks of excruciating pain and trips to Dr. Banks, 5 trips to the pharmacy (for more pain meds), a trip to the emergency room, next day surgery (with an oral surgeon), and over $4,000 just to...PULL MY TOOTH. Throughout this whole escapade, the only answer from Dr. Banks seemed to be "time" and "more pain medication". Right from the start something wasn't right as the initial root canal visit was 2.5 hours, and I had to reschedule another visit because he couldn't "break through the roots". Trip after trip of complaining of severe pain, there were no conclusions ever drawn. That is until I went to the ER and an oral surgeon to find out that their was an infection and absese within the tooth. After having to pull the tooth, i was required to have a tube in my neck to drain out all of the fluids (almost a week). Another downfall is the fact that there are now two offices in which he splits time at, one in Herndon and the other in Tyson's corner. So if you're in need of day to day assistance, be prepared to wait, or drive to one or the other. Needless to say, I will not be visiting Dr. Banks office ever again.
