Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in treating patients with improper positioning of teeth when the mouth is closed (malocclusion), which results in an improper bite.
I have dealt with this office off and on for a couple of years now. I originally came here because my dentist wasn't comfortable dealing with such a young child who needed so much dental work including extractions. My first impression was great, the doctor was as sweet as could be, said a prayer before working on her and the office is beautiful including little televisions for the children to watch while their teeth are being worked on. The first problem I experienced was the doctor telling me that my daughter needed a spacer for a tooth that she had removed so her teeth would grow in the right way. I have been down this road before and know that they do not stay in, she could pull them out with her fingers, so I was very adamant when explaining to the dentist that I did not want it unless it was $0 out-of-pocket for me. They ordered it anyway and then tried to make me pay hundreds of dollars. Finally that got resolved and I really haven't gone there much over the years and have opted to take her for routine cleanings to my dentist. Recently I have taken her there after being hounded multiple times over and over to bring her in for a cleaning. The doctors bedside manner in explaining to my daughter why she should brush her teeth was inexcusable. She compared "going poo poo" and not wiping to what her mouth would smell like if she didn't brush her teeth. OMG! Really!?! That was the most disgusting explanation of why a child should brush her teeth that I've ever heard in my 44 years of life and by far totally inappropriate. This office rarely has an appointment available outside of school hours and the doctor prefers you to come multiple visits unless you opt for nitrous oxide which is $100 charge out of your pocket. The last time I was there my daughter had three cavities filled. Shortly after she complained of pain while eating. I took her back in to have them adjusted and the doctor acted as if my daughter was lying. She made a few adjustments we came home and my daughter is still complaining of pain. Unable to get an appointment for over 3 weeks outside of school time, I am going to take her to my dentist and will never return to this office in the future. I think if you have a child with major dental issues who requires laughing gas this place might be good for you, but if it's just routine cleanings and x-rays, any regular dentist would do.
We love Dr. Cristelle! Always have had good experiences and have been going probably four years after a bad experience at another Ashburn dentist. We won't be changing!!
I would think twice about using this practice to care for your children. The staff is very unprofessional. The billing department is never accurate and will bill you regardless of services or insurance. Contacting the office is a phone call away. Getting the doctor or anyone to call you back? Forget about it. Only contact you will receive is a bill that you don't owe. No thank you. I took my kids elsewhere and never looked back.

Dr Rodriquez is the best. She has been seeing Vincent for 3 yrs now and he has come a long way. She is so patient with him and I couldn't appreciate she and her staff more. She is fixing a cavity today and came up with methods to keep him calm and still. Love her!

Wasn't too pleased with the experience. Staff wasn't welcoming or as polite as I'd like. Though the office was decorated nicely that's about all I can say that was good. I mean it's a kids dentist office so I was expecting more friendly and lighthearted staff. And it seemed like one lady had a problem with her supervisor which wasn't clear but it was a bit tense in there.
My son had a great experience here. My son is the type of kid who dreads the dentist. On top of that, I have to kind of fight my son to brush his teeth. I've read books, tried positive reinforcement, rewards, etc... Yet nothing worked. That is until I met Dr. Rodriguez. She has a very good demeanor and positively reassures children. My son was not afraid anymore, and is willing to finally brush his teeth without too much resistance. Thank you!
Dr. Chris makes mouths HAPPY! She and her staff are awesome by proving warm welcomes and services as needed. The office is extremely clean and modernly decorated that provides a kid friendly environment. The hours are flexible to include Saturday services. I recommend this doctor to everyone and anyone that has children looking for a solid reputable dentist. Thank you Dr. Chris.
I recently took my 5 yr old son to NOVA Children's Dentistry of Ashburn for his first dental checkup. It was a wonderful experience! The facility is brand new, very clean and has cheerful and top notch decor. The waiting room is equipped very nicely to keep kids and adults alike occupied with books and magazines, toys and games, TV, etc. Dr. Chris and her staff were VERY friendly and immediately took to making my son feel comfortable and at ease. They were very patient and listened to his chatter while gently guiding him to proceed with the cleaning procedure. Afterwards, he was rewarded with a balloon and a token for the toy vending machines; he was thrilled! I couldn't be more pleased with the treatment we received here... I intend to recommend this place to my friends and I wish Dr. Chris and her staff all the success!

NOT AN ETHICAL BUSINESS/MEDICAL PRACTICE!!! SHAME. This place is not a real dentistry but an ONLY for PROFIT entity hiding behind a or some dentist(s). It's more like a scam which I felt after receiving a bill after a year and half fora service they provided to my kid. I have not seen or experienced such a practice! Usually you receive a bill in a month or two after they communicate with your insurance company for the service they provided, so you can pay the balance or your share, BUT after more than 18 months?!! I might have had paid my balance already long time ago as I always do on time , but this??!! I just have to go threw my old credit card or bank record to prove it. Even if there was a mistake on their part rather explaining the situation they THREATEN YOU to send the bill to a third party collection agency. SIMPLY PUT UNETHICAL!!! And also their own employee posting 5 star review about their business. Really??? UNETHICAL! Proof: Angela Cueva below is a receptionist there. To be fear only good thing I can say about this place and which also might be the first trap is: this place is nice, clean and modern, yes!
Our of all pediatric dentistry that I've been to, no one has treated my child the way Dr. Cris and the staff treated him. He used to hate going to the dentist and now he loves it. The4 best
Dr. Rodriguez is an excellent Dentist. She took care of my sons several times. She is caring, knowledgeable and treats her patients just like her own family. Her staff are very caring and helpful.

This dentistry is very unprofessional. They make incorrect estimates for the procedures and charge a hefty amount later saying the insurance didn't cover. They force on using nitrous (laughing gas) and don't let you opt out of that.
This place is great for kids, I brought my daughter here and thought she would cry as soon as i got her in the chair, but everyone was so polite and patient, the doctor made my daughter feel very comfortable, the front desk was great ! i highly recommend this place for children.
If you want a place where your children feel at home, I recommend this place. My children were delighted! Si usted quiere un lugar donde sus hijos se sientan como en casa, les recomiendo este lugar. Mis hijos quedaron encantados!!!

We refer many of our pediatric patients to Dr. Rodriguez for her outstanding pediatric dental care. She and her team of hygienists always great the patients by name and with a warm smile. The office is state of the art and children look forward to coming to her office for their dental care. Dr. Rodriquez is extremely calming to the most nervous of patients and immediately puts her patients fears and ease. Excellent place. Dr. Cris is very nice. My kids love this place.
Just be careful when you pay money in this place. Make sure to get a receipt. They charged me for dental cleaning get for my daughter at same time they calmed the service from medicare. And only when I made some noise about this they admitted it and they said they will refund the money to my account. I think this maybe a continual practice that they get money from both patient and Medicare. On the other hand, to be fair, Dr. RODRIGO IS AN AMAZING DOCTOR AND ALWAYS DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB.

This place is very unprofessional. I went there at 9am for my 9:30appt and didn't get to the back until 12:45 and There workers have horrible attitudes. I will never go there again !

This place is so beautiful, I've been there since it opened. Dr.Cris is so kind to her patients and she treats them with respect. I love the staff and I would absolutely reccomend people to come here.
Dr. Rodriquez is the best pediatric dentist I have ever seen. I am a behavior therapist for children with autism and saw her work with a child. For the first time ever this child was able to have his/her teeth brushed with dental tools without having to be held down. If you have a child with special needs this is your lady.
This place is extremely unprofessional. Not only do they talk about their patients behind their backs after they leave, but they also don't like to pay their employees.
