Wasn't allowed to make an appointment due to a late bill, which was previously paid off weeks earlier, was only "allowed" to after mentioning going to a new dentist! Needless to say, I'm at a new dentist! Front desk staff somewhat rude! Never going back or recommending Nelson again! :(

These guys are really not good. I would give them 1 star except for the fact that the actual dental work does not seem to be a problem. They were the only dentist covered by our insurance when we moved to Bismarck, and they are so bad we are seriously considering going without normal preventative care because they are a pain to work with. Every single time that my family or I go to see them there is always some charge or another that they billed that is not covered. Also, THEY BILL WITHOUT WAITING FOR INSURANCE. They send you a bill for the full amount not even waiting to get their payment from the insurance. If there is anyone else you can go to choose someone else!

I wish I would have done some research before going to Dr. Nelson for the past 6 years! Before, I thought all dentists were expensive, but have now learned that my new dentist charges are almost less than half (yes HALF) of what I used to pay. I started comparing prices when the new dentist at Nelson Family filled 2 cavities and Dr. Nelson had to fix them because they FELL out. If you need an appointment ASAP, forget it. There is usually at least a 1month wait.
