Dentistry involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body. General dentists provide services related to the general maintenance of oral hygiene and tooth health.
My wife, three children and I have had Dr. Jeffrey Lewis as our Dentist as far back as I remember, as Dr. Lewis, as a very young Dentist, came along to fill in for Dr. Counts who regrettably had passed away. Perhaps a bit apprehensive on our first visits, we never looked back, however. Dr. Lewis is very capable, plus he always employs very skillful dental hygienists. What I like in particular is that he will take the time, often using X-ray images or hand-drawn sketches, to explain exactly what he sees, and why he leans toward a particular method of restoration. As the sign "You do not have to brush all your teeth, just the ones you intend to keep" in his office attests, he is very bullish on prevention; this, we can take to the bank! Finally, recently when I ended up with a very painful molar due to trauma, I went to Dr. Lewis. office without even calling for an appointment. I knew he would make time to see me and he did!
Funny story about how I was lucky enough to find Dr. Lewis. My accountant is a very clever guy who does the books for a lot of other dentists. He took a survey, asking them who does the dental work for their wives and families. Over and over again, he heard the name "Jeff Lewis." As a result, both he and I have been seeing Dr. Lewis for many years. I couldn't ask for a better dentist.
Doc Lewis is a great dentist. I absolutely hate going to the dentist, but Doc and his staff really make you feel comfortable and put you at ease. They do the best teeth cleaning ever. They never rush to get finished with you, they take their time with whatever treatment you are having.
I'm a new patient to Dr. Lewis and I have to say they did a STELLAR job! I needed some teeth pulled and he took care of it after careful explanation of my options and even got two of my trouble teeth in one go! They carefully explained everything and while, yes, it was a surgery and was uncomfortable, it was the most painless, quick and efficient one I've ever endured! Dr. Lewis and his staff, Lupe, Linette, and their hygienist (Sorry! I can't remember your name!) were all very sweet and not condescending at all! I've been around the block before with teeth being pulled and they didn't once make me feel like my opinion was invalid! The best part? They worked with me on payment and completely took care of things with my insurance! No hassle for me! They even split my cost between this visit and my follow up so that I wouldn't be so badly in the hole for the essentials and my emergency fund! Thank you so SO SO SO MUCH, Dr. Lewis and Staff! Looking forward to coming to you for my dental needs for years to come!
Dr. Lewis and his staff are outstanding in every way. I went in for a checkup and cleaning and then a crown. Both visits were top notch. My teeth are very hard to numb, and Dr. Lewis took the time to make sure the process really was pain-free. The while-you-wait crown matches so perfectly that it looks better than my old tooth with all the fillings. Dr. Lewis was meticulous in fitting the new crown, in fact so good that my mouth and bite felt normal right away. Dr. Lewis uses the latest dental techniques and equipment and has many years of experience, what a great combination!
