Dentistry involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body. General dentists provide services related to the general maintenance of oral hygiene and tooth health.
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in treating patients with improper positioning of teeth when the mouth is closed (malocclusion), which results in an improper bite.
All staff were extremely professional and the exam was the most comprehensive I have ever received. Highly recommend this practice and as a new patient very pleased to have chosen this office.
The initial visit was an unusually long wait but it was worth it. The wait was explained due to an emergency visit and Dr Diorio apologized. He was very thorough in explaining the type of treatment that was needed and developed a detailed plan. I left the office knowing exactly what to expect when i returned for future appointments. The staff Tanika and Michelle was very patience and understanding. Overall, it was the best dental experience I have ever had.
I have been going to Dental One for over 10 years. They are very nice to deal with, from the dentist to the receptionist. I am very happy and will continue to go there.
The staff at Dental One is amazing! I did not have my insurance information with me, so Tanika and another staff member assisted me by calling my insurance company and had me assigned to the office while I was there. I really appreciated them going the extra mile to make sure the insurance information was correct!
Dental One is the best ever, I am all for professionalism and great care. The team at Dental One far exceeds my expectations and the promptness of connecting with your doctor is timeless. Almost no waiting time and I am in my dentist office at least 3 times a year if not more. I highly recommend this "ONE STOP SHOP" office, my schedule does not allow me to wait in waiting rooms long or be sent to other offices for services. Thanks Dental One!
The front office will blatantly lie about checking with our insurance and would say that the procedure that they are about to perform is covered and we would only be paying couple of dollars. Luckily, my hygienist reviewed it again and saved me. Then, the next time I had a another procedure done and knowing the front office, I asked them 100 times and they again promised that i would only have to pay couple of hundreds. So, I did the procedure and then I get a bill for 2000. You call them thousand time there will be no response. Basically, they just don't care. I really don't want anyone to go thru this painful time calling the center and stressing yourself. I switched my dentist because it was closer to my house. I am going back to my original dentist. We have been with them for 7 years and not once we had this problem. So, my point not everyone does a bad job.
I read several poor reviews about Dental One Associates of Chantilly and was admittedly hesitant when setting my appointment. My experience was completely different than the experience of those giving poor reviews on here. I had a great experience as a patient under DDS Adenike Ogunbekun and her team. Having had a short notice requirement to obtain dental clearance prior to overseas work assignment, Dr. Ogunbekun and her team went above and beyond, even staying late until 7:00 P.M. on a Friday in order to get my panorex, ex rays, cleanings, diagnostics, crown molds taken, etc. so that I could meet my tight timeline and get the clearance needed in order to meet the requirements for the position. Dr. Ogunbekun's dental hygenist even spent considerable time on the phone negotiating a better rush order sur-charge price for me in order to reduce my out of pocket costs. Dr. Ogunbekum and her team will take exceptional, personalized care of you and your family's dental needs and I highly recommend her and her team for speicialized care. Dr. Ogunbekum will sit down with you, assess your situation and immediatly set her team on task formulating solutions to meet your unique requirements.
Went in to inquire about whether or not they offered sleep apnea devices. There were fliers on the front desk about sleep apnea, and the receptionist said they did offer them, but said I needed to officially become a patient of theirs in order for them to tell me which devices they offered. Hesitant, I became a patient and made an appointment on the spot. The hygienist repeatedly tried to pressure me into purchasing a basic mouth guard, saying it could cure my snoring. I said no, and that I just wanted to know which sleep apnea devices they offered. The dentist came in and said they needed X-rays (what???). I reluctantly agreed. They took the X-rays, and after about an hour of this, the dentist finally came in and said they don't offer sleep apnea devices. Thanks.
I hope everyone that goes here reads this...I never post reviews online, but this warranted it....I want to start off by saying that after I made my appointment here, I read their reviews, and was surprised that a docs office had negative reviews. I had never seen that before, so that was my first warning. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they are my local office on my insurance. I scheduled the appointment with them, and requested xrays from a previous office to be forwarded, and they "never" received it (i was CC'd on that email)..hmm strike 2...Being a new patient, I was told to come in 30min early to fill out paperwork. I showed up, empty office, no receptionist, no door gong, nothing...strange that a docs office had NOBODY in there. I called the number and someone answered saying, "everyone must be at lunch." AN ENTIRE OFFICE AT LUNCH AT THE SAME TIME! hmm maybe you shouldn't schedule every single person to eat at the same exact time..finally after 45min, someone casually strolls in, sit sin her chair, and doesn't acknowledge my presence. I then get up, explain the fact that I have been sitting here, frustrated, wasted my time...and she responds with, "do you want to be seen or not?" I absolutely do not want to be seen by you at that point. No apologies, no nothing. Completely ignored me. All the tell tale signs are in front of people. Dont go here. Your spending your money, use it at a place that cares. Never ever use Dental, under any circumstance! MY husband and I had the worst experiences in all our years of going to dentists! RUN not walk away from this dental practice. We paid that day and still have not received all the $$$$ that we were owed!
You can not even imagine the unprofessionalism and unorganization I experienced at this office. All I wanted was a simple teeth cleaning and I never could get passed all the front desk errors to actually sit in the chair.
I'm new to Dental One. On May 26, 2015 I had my first visit and was introduced to Adenike Ogunbekun, DDS. She is an exceptional doctor, personable, and compassionate. For 3 years I suffered with a tooth on and off because I feared the Novocain injection. The path I put myself on eventually led me to Dental One to have the tooth extracted; it had reached the point where infection set in and was poisoning my body. Something had to be done even though I feared the Novocain injection. Well, there must have been an angel on my shoulder because the visit was great . . . then again, perhaps the angel was Dr. Ogunbekun ! In the past any dentist I visited always swabbed the mouth area and injected the Novocain rapidly. What Dr. Ogunbekun did was dramatically different: the swabbing of the gum (with mouth closed after the solution was applied) took about 2-3 minutes to numb the gum. When the needle was applied, it was done softly (probing here and there) all the way around the tooth - - very, very slowly. Dr. Ogunbekun would ask now and then whether I felt any pain . . . THOROUGHOUT THE PROCESS (NEEDLE AND EXTRACTION) I NEVER FELT ANY PAIN ! I regret not coming in much sooner. Dr. Ogunbekun was guiding me every step of the way. At my age, 71, it's very much appreciated. I would also mention that the evening of my dental procedure, Dr. Ogunbekun called me at home to find out if everything was OK, that is, any complications or pain; that too is very much appreciated and exemplifies a caring, professional attitude an attitude that embraces patience. I have questions for the reader of this review: how many people do you know (including yourself) that can state that they have had a Novocain injection pain-free ? How many people do you know (including yourself) that can state that they have had a tooth extracted pain-free ? How many people do you know (including yourself) that can state that during recuperation after the dental procedure no pain was felt ? Once again, the key to a pain-free experience is . . . knowledge and patience . . . on the part of the dentist. And trust and faith on the part of the patient. I'm new to Dental One. Dr O is very patient, comforting, and pleasant. She puts my kids at ease.
I faced exactly same as Maria...tired following up with front desk...6 calls in person visit paid 25usd and yet have not received the XRays. I was recommended to an Endodontic group and they did not even care to forward my XRAYS to them either. Dr. O was really good but am just too pissed following up with them...the entire week went by and I still don't have my XRays.
